I thought we weren't interested?

yeah I initially missed those posts. I couldn’t believe a regular poster here would do such stupid stuff
Do such stupid stuff? I commented on a tweet saying I doubt Miami would even offer MAR. Ahmon sought be out defending his brother. It's not like I messaged the dude talking ****. I commented the same thing 50 other people have already said on here, that they wouldn't offer MAR a portal spot because we only have 2 right now with better options available. That doesn't make me stupid.

Can't stand today's offense obsessed mind-frame with these **** kids. It's becoming harder and harder to find kids to play defense.
Bro you're 6'1" 200+ pounds. You might be an elite CB/DB prospect but you wanna play a position that's a dime-a-dozen and not even valued in today's game. Most teams are RB by comity these days, unless they have someone who's special like Henry. RB's are barely going in the first round anymore.

We have the same freakin' problem in high school. We have 37 WR's and RB's...and no **** DB's.

Sorry, I'm just venting.

Signed,
A frustrated defensive coach.
They should all be listening to Duke Johnson. Countless times he’s said he wished he’d have played DB. More money and less wear on your body.

Funny I ran into him last year flying out of FLL. Had all his Auburn crap on proudly.

Still full of lies and thinking he’d be the man at RB

Would have been a great DB here I think... but then again idk if he had/has the heart for it

Macho Man...

Why is that? Why aren't some of the good-great athletes realizing there is playing time and $$$ to be made in becoming an assassin DB.

What aren't they getting in their heads??

I had always assumed it was because as a good WR or RB, you are on TV all the time. As a good DB, teams are going to avoid you and you'll never be talked about.

I'll also add that it takes a lot more work to be a great DB. It's a true craft. I honestly didn't respect it that much until I became a DC.

Not saying RB is easy by any means, but it's more instinctual. The great DB's put in a ton of work on their craft... right on down to film study, understanding spacing, route stems, etc etc etc. It ain't always the best athlete that becomes a great DB.

Some kids not trying to put in that amount of work in the off-season then be put on that island Friday nights/Saturday/Sunday afternoons.

Hey, you know what, while I hate what you did, ie, talking crap to our players, I came at you too hard. I feel bad about it.

I shouldn’t be attacking you the way I did. I just think it’s wrong to interact with players, or ex-players in negative ways. Just take the high road, you’ll be a better man for it.

So anyway, I apologize for attacking your appearance and being so aggressive. I still strongly disagree with what you did, but you are young and prone to make youthful mistakes, and there’s no excuse for my attacks.

Also, I will be deleting my posts as an act of contrition. I wish you the best.

Richards is trying to raise his value with other schools. Best of luck but any rb joining Harris, Chaney, Knighton and Franklin is a fool. No PT available here.

It's all good, I apologize as well for my part in it

Richards didn't see any playing time at Auburn in 2019 off a leg injury and this past season had 20 rushing attempts for 76 yards. He was buried on the depth chart much of the season but had a nice showing against Alabama with 14 rushes for 57 yards, including a long run of 14.

Now that he’s in the transfer portal, Richards tells CaneSport he has ā€œa few schoolsā€ he’s serious about. Richards has spoken with Miami coaches and says ā€œThere is a spot for me there, we’ve talked and they would love to have me as a part of the program.ā€

Classified as a RB/CB out of high school, Richards says he will remain on offense wherever he transfers.

ā€œI think Miami’s a good fit - coach Lashlee, he’s done a great job along with the coaches there,ā€ Mark-Antony said. ā€œThe ability Miami has, I can see them having success in the future. I think I’d be a great fit there. Knowing coach Lashlee from when he was at Auburn recruiting my brother, there’s some familiarity in terms of how they would use me. I feel familiar with coach Lashlee, have a relationship with him.ā€

So where does UM stand?

ā€œI like Miami a lot,ā€ Richards said. ā€œI can definitely say that. I just want to make a great decision.ā€

Mark-Antony's father, Mark Sr., adds "There are others he's talking with, but I know Miami is really, really high. He has high interest in Miami.ā€
He wants in. He's home sick.
