I thought these guys were spot-on

I agree, but watching them brings back sordid memories when I was taken in a Shula Steakhouse men's bathroom by three men wearing Ralph Lauren sport-coats who smelled of Perdomo cigars, Dewars, and Old Spice. I don't recall much, I just remember one of them breathing heavy into my ear ordering me to "take the piggy." Luckily, a fellow who looked a bit like Burt Lancaster came in and dispatched of them...but not until he had finished at the urinal.

Disagree with Dusty's hype train for Virginia—without acknowledging that the Cavaliers are headed to South Florida to play the Canes. Not to mention the Hoo for whatever reason just can't get past Virginia Tech.

Favorable schedule for UM. Virginia with Florida State early, at Miami, Duke, at Louisville, at North Carolina, Georgia Tech and close with VT. They also open at Pittsburgh this weekend. Would be great to see them get a conference loss out the gate.

I'd bank on Virginia to go 6-2 at best / 5-3 at worst in conference this year—so Miami better win the that head-to-head match-up.

UVA almost clipped us at home last time they were down.We need to play all our guys early, unlike the UF game, so we will have depth down the stretch.

I disagree with all of this UF overrated hype. I saw Franks improve, although he is still good for some terrible decisions. (There’s a great breakdown video on YouTube showing his footwork and improvements in the game by TopBillin’)

I saw awesome defensive ends, great blitzes from Grantham, solid secondary coverage that allows you to blitz, and better linebacker play than I expected. Granted they need to clean up their tackling. But this defense will win them games, just like ours can.

Pair this with a QB coach who can manage Frank’s stupidity, but the ability to open it up if needed (trailing early in a game) and solid special teams and punter.

I think UF is definitely a top 10 team that will be tough to beat. Georgia should match up well bc they can run with that veteran Oline and Swift right at those DEs but everyone else on that schedule might have trouble.

And Miami went play for play with these guys, out played them in my opinion (if it wasn’t for our sloppy mistakes.) But most canes fans here already know that our roster is loaded.

This coaching staff should really be able to make quick strides with this team. Watching that game, I think we are even better than their roster, we were just not ready week 1 for this game. I’m confident we would beat them if we played them later in the year.

You're clearly a UF fan.

They are not a top 10 team

Felt to me like there were two very good teams going head to head last Saturday, and the national media couldn’t see past the sloppy play in a week 1 game.

I’ll admit there were some really uncharacteristic plays of people just dropping the ball (JT, Osborn, Brevin, Jarren, Franks/Perrine). But if these teams clean that up, I don’t see either of them losing much. UF will lose to UGA for sure and maybe 1 other game; and I can’t see anyone beating Miami on our schedule.

You had me at Perdomo Cigars and Dewars, but the Old Spice was the cherry on top.
