I think we will be "coming" back when...

Agree that some of these guys shouldn’t be leaving early unless they’re locks for first 3 rounds. However, I think that some players feel that they aren’t going to improve draft stock by staying another year considering we’ve done a poor job of developing players here. If you’re going to go in the 5th round anyway might as well go early. It is frustrating watching some of our guys go late or undrafted and then go on to have solid NFL careers(that’s wonderful for the player of course). Makes you wonder what the **** the coaches did with them while they were here.

Auburn, Alabama...

21 year old dudes are choosing to spend another year of their life in Auburn, Alabama, broke, instead of making millions and living in modern civilization. And there's three of them? There is absolutely no way. Unless they weren't broke

They are getting paid to stay. We don’t do that and you see the results. Bottom line in modern college football: you don’t pay? You don’t win championships

Dudes dont want to stay and get underutilized or be unused altogether. Why would someone like Jeff Thomas want to come back if he gets 500 yards, 1 touchdown, and 7 wins each year.

Look at chickillo. Lost 50 pounds and tested at a position he never played for pro day. That speaks volume about the coaches and program.

Getting them to return is important but winning games and being developed has to come first.

Our LBs came back 🙄
finally a couple of players Pickney and Quaterman listened to the NFL guys rather than an agent like Rosenhaus telling them
hey your a first rounder....Coaches should point out guys who left early and where they are now ? G.Willis uda Free agent
DT McIntosh is he even in the league ? ..... hopefully future guys will look at it like "another year will not hurt"
raw numbers say turning pro early is not a great decision.....

Dallas, Thomas, Donaldson, Garvin, Bandy

Gotta get these guys to stick around

Agreed.

Unfortunately today if I were to predict their draft prospects none of them would be drafted in the first 3 rounds. All of them have not lived up to the expectation for this year so far.

They would make more money in the league then bags so no
I think it's very feasible that you might tell a guy: "Look, you come back one more year and not only is your draft stock is going to rise, but a few of our boosters are going to toss X dollars your way as soon as you leave school and the NCAA heat is off..."

For a lot of players, that arrangement may make a lot more financial sense than declaring early.

Week 5 against VT. 🙏 I’m so tired of this growing up before our eyes. Now! Fvckikg now!!

Bags brought those guys back
You don't think Miami pays players? I'm pretty sure every team does, maybe not the same degree. It's just more about who you are. Ole Miss jumped into the game landing top players, beat Alabama to back seasons then it was hammer time by the NCAA. Good example is Tunsil, he was a UGA lock, went to Ole Miss and UGA fans went crazy. You think a guy from central Florida was in love with Georgia or he took and their offer and they got spurned. Point is, it's all a bunch of BS that will hope to get settled and no longer have a NCAA....

Our whole linebacker corps came back for their senior year. That’s their 4th year starting. Not common in CFB let alone Miami. I do agree with the OP’s point, though. The best programs have upper classmen start at every position.

It's not the 'going' I care about with the ladies, it's the 'coming'

I want three and out first rounders across every position

I’m not that greedy, D. Just give me some legit 3 & out players at the skilled position, with some veteran leaders who can leave their Sr being considered for some accolades and having a draft grade of no later than the 3rd round.

But to get there.....man we need some coaches that are looking to be poached by bigger programs or the NFL. Go look at Schnelly’s, Jimmy’s, Erickson’s, Butch’s, and ****, even Coker’s early staffs. Just look who went on to the NFL, head coaching, or bigger programs from those coaches, and compare that to Shannon, Golden, Richt, and now Manny’s staff.
