I think we curb stomp V-tech

VTs offense is really bad but VTs coaching is much better than ours.

if we have to slug it out with them, they win.

You delusional fans always say this before big games.

Not looking at almost 4 years of data is just stupid at this point.

I know anything can happen in sports but we're gonna get worked like we always do.

i just think Va Tech is that bad this year. They just lost to a 3-3 Pitt team. If UM can't win this game it will be very telling....

...as if we needed any additional data points, but...

Don't get me wrong. I saw that game. Virginia tech is terrible. That's not what has me skeptical.

We're playing in Blacksburg!!!

Blacksburg!

On a thursday night with a crazy *** crowd. How has Al Golden's teams done in these type of environments?

How has UM done in Blacksburg ever?

All the numbers say we are going to get beat.

I just don't see it man.

This game has all the makings of an Al Golden special, just like beating a ranked UF team that ended the season below .500 or beating ohio state at home during their interim head coach year. Va Tech is garbage this year. UM wins this game, Golden acts like it was a herculean effort then Va Tech finishes below .500.

We'll see. I have no doubt that OlivaDorito can find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again.

Bingo. It does seem to set up beautifully for that very scenario.

The worst part is cringing at the thought of UM being front and center for the whole country to watch on national tv. Nothing like that scraping the bottom of barrel feeling. Seems like a century ago when we relished the opportunity to ***** slap somebody on a Thursday night.

UM

I too am afraid of displaying Al's skills for all to see. VT is a very bad team, but we are so poorly coached that things equal out. This will be an ugly poorly played game, but we win. Al will harp on the victory as a demonstration of the changes he made during the off week and the kids responding well. Battling the Hokies till the end, not giving up.

They are not a good team at all, and have a QB who is not good. Their defense is OK, but they can not win q shoot out against us.

Last year coming into our game, VT was coming off back to back losses to Duke and Boston College. Their best win on the years was @ GT by 7 points. It took them 3 overtimes to beat Marshall.....at home. They struggled with Pitt, North Carolina, East Carolina, everybody. Their biggest point margin victory against a D1 opponent was 10 points vs UNC. Every possible sign pointed to them being a terrible team. Yet they beat us by 18 points on the road. Then went on the road and lost to Maryland. Turns out that VT did suck. It also turns out that how bad another team sucks has no bearing on whether Al Golden wins a football game. Especially on the road.

Va Tech is basically starting a 3rd string QB and has been decimated with injuries to their backfield. We absolutely should win this game. But we won't.

I agree, they are bad. They also have a couple key players out. We will almost find a way to lose it, but we will leave blacksburg with a win...

Some awesome failure in this thread.

weownfsu: We're one of the worst teams in the ACC. There's just no reason to expect us to curb stomp VT.

ball915: If anything, they curb stomp us

AUCane: Brewer will shred us and run all over us.

Marcelo2988: I know anything can happen in sports but we're gonna get worked like we always do.

Era66: People underestimate how bad Doritos and Foldens D scheme is. Another L on the road.

agonza1pr: Wake me up when that happen.

Boarcane: We WILL give up more than thirty points and most likely lose by 10+.

Believe in Boris: I think Virginia Tech suddenly "wakes up" on offense for this game, like every team does when they play an Al Golden led team. Va. Tech puts up 40 points and 500 yards of offense.

algoldenshair: 49-21 vtech. Calling it now

JimmyJohnsonsHair: We absolutely should win this game. But we won't.

UNC, UVA, and Pitt are all coin flips depending on which version of our D shows up. FSU is a loss.

Much more realistic, thank you.
If you go back to my "prediction" of the VA Tech game in this thread, I did say that we should win the game. I just figured Golden would find a way to corch us to a loss. I underestimated how awful VA Tech was though.
