I think we curb stomp V-tech

Im primarily concerned about our offense. Night game at Va Tech, Bud Foster defense - Its the kind of game where I expect Brad Kaaya to struggle.

Im not all that concerned about our defense. Even OlivaDorito's schemes will be sufficient against Va Tech's doo-doo offense. Again, dorito's schemes only work against teams with really bad QB play. I think Va Tech's QB play is bad enough for dorito's scheme to get us by.


If the O plays well, we win.

You delusional fans always say this before big games.

Not looking at almost 4 years of data is just stupid at this point.

I know anything can happen in sports but we're gonna get worked like we always do.
 
Duke game was a surprise but we were playing at home and coming off a loss.

Now we think we're decent again beating up a terrible Cincy team and we're playing in Blacksburg on a thursday night!!!

What am I missing here??? Do we quickly forget what happens to us in these types of games now? lol jesus

Agreed. I actually flew in from CA for the Va Tech game last year. That was a really painful experience. The defense just kept backing up all the way down field on every single drive. Ive probably been to over 1000 football games in my lifetime and have NEVER seen anything like that.

i just think Va Tech is that bad this year. They just lost to a 3-3 Pitt team. If UM can't win this game it will be very telling....

Ok, Va Tech is a shell of its former self (said the same thing last year - aghhhh). Bunch of guys banged up, cast-off transfer at QB, no running game, coming off a physical beatdown at the hands of Pitt . . . but then it's a Thursday night game at their place, must win to stay in the race, turkey neck has our number, Bud Foster will bring the house against our frosh QB, they'll likely get some easy points off turnovers or special teams. Would hope we put them out of their misery - but flip a coin.
 
UM should curb stomp this VT team. VT absolutely sucks this year. Unfortunately, we have Al at the helm, so anything can happen.

On a side note, I heard that Flubberneck tried to hang himself after the Pitt debacle, but the flubber on his neck was like a barrier to asphyxiation and a shield against vertebral fractures.

Don't get me wrong. I saw that game. Virginia tech is terrible. That's not what has me skeptical.

On a thursday night with a crazy *** crowd. How has Al Golden's teams done in these type of environments?

How has UM done in Blacksburg ever?

All the numbers say we are going to get beat.

I just don't see it man.

People underestimate how bad Doritos and Foldens D scheme is. Another L on the road.

This game has all the makings of an Al Golden special, just like beating a ranked UF team that ended the season below .500 or beating ohio state at home during their interim head coach year. Va Tech is garbage this year. UM wins this game, Golden acts like it was a herculean effort then Va Tech finishes below .500.

We'll see. I have no doubt that OlivaDorito can find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again.
 
We could win just because this is the worst VT team we have seen in a long time but I highly doubt we go into Blacksburg and win big. If we win, it will no doubt be close.

good news, on the field Miami is MUCH more talented. bad news, our coaching staff negates that talent edge. "coin flip" history says we lose unless this VT team is a sub 8 win team at the end of the season. We WILL give up more than thirty points and most likely lose by 10+. That is the trend that continues to go UP...
 
VTech showed up at Miami in the same type of scenario leading into the game last year and scored 42
