I think the only way two ways avoid the eventual death spiral for our failing HC....

It's year 4 not 3, not 2, the only evolution we've seen has been his ability to pinpoint a side of the ball that has played poorly, which were **** obvious - Gattis, Guidry and our Secondary.

He hired someone for clock management and time outs and look how well that worked out during our last game with the ball inside the redzone.

We thought this guy would have us competing for ACC chips, not being a top 4/5 team *in the ACC.

Does anybody actually believe we’re winning a meaningless bowl game with all the older guys opting out and Emory at QB?

If Coleman starts next year, we’ll be lucky to win 4 games
 
Only way the best to avoid the death spiral is for Mario to take a vacation and have his DNA altered by CRISPR.
 
This season is cooked. We would need 5-6 teams to lose and canes win out. Chances? Slimmer than Ozempic

All we can hope for as fans is to hit on big time QB, FINALLY get 1-2 elite WRs, get an elite center and 1-2 elite LBs? That’s slimmer than the playoff chances. We might be stuck in Brian Kelly land next year too.

Not so sure. Since Oregon, his team’s weaknesses have included poor game management and offensive strategy. His “changes” included lying about hiring a game day helper, and applying cosmetic changes to the offense via different OCs (who run the same ****, the same way).

It’s crazy because if you REALLY think about it, not much has changed from a scheme standpoint (Cam appears to be outlier looking at the other two years with Dawson). This is how you know the talent is immensely better. Canes have been getting outschemed for 4 seasons, but when the talent wasn’t there the losses were SO BAD, not competitive.


That’s what makes it infuriating, Canes in every game, but we can’t finish (our last 9 losses are by 7 or less).

To put it into perspective, Miamis last 8 losses (have to go back to year 2) are by a combined 29 points. Manny lost to Bama by 31 alone in G1 of Y3.
