I think the fixes are real easy

No way you keep Enos if Manny is serious about bringing Miami back. Barry may leave with Enos but that's a risk I'd take. I seriously doubt Manny would can baker, patke, or banda. Those are HIS guys and he believes in them but baker has done a **** poor job managing play calling and Manny needs to either help him bridge a gap in his tendencies or find someone else. The strength of our 2020 class is defense so that helps all those assistants greatly for 2020. If any changes are made the only realistic one to me is Enos, and Manny will want another guy who has a good rep as a qb developer.
Patke, Banda and Baker need to go..... Golden held onto NO D and got canned
no way do you hang a poor staff or you go down with them in the end.
CMD need to do what Dabo has done top notch staff..... recruit and motivate

I think manny Has a dynamic personality as far as getting players to buy in since he has been here. Baker, imo from what I’ve seen doesn’t seem to bring that. He’s different. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t know ball but his way of communication just seems different. I think that’s where the disconnect stems
not sure players have bought in considering 3 loses as double digit favorites.
get used to a lot of OJT and 6-8 seasons with this CMD

Get rid of the dancing and trinkets. Fire Enos for ineptitude. Hire a proven, innovative OC. You know, someone that does well against people other than Manny Diaz. Fire Baker and get a more experienced DC. It's not rocket science.
AMEN to trinkets and dancing

Since firing Manny is not an option this is what I would do:

1. Fire Baker and have Manny take over calling the actual defenses
2. Fire Patke and get a real special teams coach.
3. Keep Enos but have him go spread at least 90% of the game for now. Manny needs to tell him to do this. use 11 or 10 personnel more often
4. impose more discipline into our culture from going to class to having more leadership and accountability from the players when we are losing
5. getting a sense of urgency in all phases of the game. We need to make pretend we are down 3 scores from the coin flip....we seem to play better when we are behind

we need to cure the disease of complacency that has been hanging around this program since the Coker days

Why wouldn't you just fire enos and hire a spread coordinator??

I agree with you. If it were me enos, baker, banda, and patke would all be gone but I doubt it happens. We may just be lucky to have a new OC.

oh, man with those 3 guys more OJT banda and patch are awful . Baker is bad but has a resume the other 2 still should be grad assistants

why patke tho. its his fault our kickers are head cases??
We've lost quite a few games (at least 3-4 this season) due to:

1) Muffed punts around the 10-yard line
2) Multiple fake punts being successful (easily) against us
3) Poor kick coverage
4) Weak tackling on ST
5) Missed FGs
6) Missed PAT

Our special teams were atrocious at times. Wrong personnel & didn't hustle. All of that is Patke's responsibility.

We were the king of STs long before Frank Beamer made it a priority at Va Tech. We suffocated opponents in every phase. Coverage - opponent got their clock cleaned...fast. Punt blocks - yes, sir! FG kicker - ice water running through their veins (Huerta was money). Punter - great hang time & then coverage units would seek & destroy. Remember Jessie Armstead (great LBer for the Giants) streaking down the field & just tagging opponents. How about Sean Taylor as a young pup. It was debilitating for opponents because they were stifled in every single phase - meticulously & relentlessly. It was inevitable that this would wear opponents down & make them quit. It was a huge weapon for us.

Oh, were have those days gone?

I don't get talented athletes working hard in the weight room & in practice only to loaf in games. It's frustrating.

You lost all credibility when you mentioned keeping Enos. The guy sucks as a coordinator.
He literally has no feel for the game and can’t make necessary adjustments. I don’t care how good of a QB coach you think he is. Watching the 3rd quarter lackluster no-urgency milk the clock offense against the mighty panthers while being down 16 pts was the most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed.
The same for Baker.

Mannys defense is not fundamentally sound. It's a massive gimmick. It's all high risk / high reward. If a team gets the ball out fast, uses tight ends or has a good offensive line, they shred us.

Every single we've played an actual good team we've been torn up.

We need a real defensive scheme like LSU or Clemson.

JJ never got the credit for ST play. Patke a grad assistant at best has to go>>>>>>>>>
