It's more like people are against dip**** porsters predicting NEXT year's starters based on the first day of spring practice 18 months in advance of the Utah game in Las Vegas.

Particularly after you hyped up JoJo Traded-to-NC-State.

right. throw a kid w no experience (assuming mensah stays healthy and nickel doesnt beat out Coleman) into a likely road environment against a historically tough team. if mensah goes off like Ward did, were getting another top tier transfer.

I think it all depends on how nickel and coleman look in spring and fall camp. If they show signs that they could be ready in 2027 to be the guy I think they will still bring in an older QB in the portal but not 1 that’s a guaranteed starter

Not if he has the kind of season we hope/anticipate.

I think he can still have a great season and return. In my opinion his game doesn't really translate to the NFL well based off what we have seen so far. Based off NFL standards there really isn't any high end qualities.

That was me for sure with Nickel since his junior year of high school, i still believe in the kid and think he's going to dominate when the time come.

He’s better than Coleman imo , he’s 1 and vs American heritage . Coleman is 0 and 2

Nobody is against it. It would be great and I hope he wins us a natty. Proclaiming this after a completed 7v7 pass is nuts.

Maybe because he hasn't taken one single snap. Stop crowning people based off of nothing. Will when you learn your lesson? I can't believe you're still doing this after what happened with Jojo. And he isn't the only one you've done this with and been completely wrong. We all root for the kid and hope he does well and starts one day, just because we aren't stupid enough to pencil him as the starter after a couple of spring practices doesn't mean we are haters.

And JoJo was a highly-touted top 100 prospect. So people kept clinging on to that high-ranking thinking that he'd be good.

Coleman wasn't even that highly-ranked. He certainly has a strong arm, but you need a lot more than that to be a top-level QB.

Exactly. And the chances you get a Cam with more eligibility are infinitesimally small.

If you can get someone decidedly better in the portal, you do it. There was no question of this with Emory and Judd. With Nickel and Coleman it might be a tougher decision, as I think both have more potential than the other two.

To have QB stability for 2 seasons would be a VERY welcome revelation. We already know that MC will pay up for a QB. Just hoping it goes as expected this season and it’s an easy negotiation at the end of this year.
