(I think) Corey Gaynor (is exceptional)

If this kid can get the mental aspect squared away it would be huge. We had a lot of really bad mental errors setting up protection and identifying defensive alignments last season.

Gaynor, Campbell and Scaife are all very aggressive. If you go to :55 of Campbell's HL reel, he sends a kid to the hospital on a borderline play.

DMoney I have never thanked you for your endless support for this program. I have been a Hurricane fan for 58 years first went to the OB when I was 5 years old. Keep up the good work.

Borderline. I'm not sure you can even see the border from that play. Lowered his head and drilled the dude in the back of the helmet.

Want that guy on my side, not on the other side, for sure.

Gaynor is a mean sumbytch, which is something we haven’t had much of on the OL. I think Campbell fits that tough guy mold too.

I’d love to see us recruit more nasty motherfckers on the OL. I’m excited to see these guys prove the sissified UM fans wrong.

Campbell is one of the guys i've been dying to see

ever since that vid where he bullied that lsu transfer like male lion ascending on top of a female lion, I've wanted to see what he can do.

Then he got up and admired his handy work for a couple of seconds. Viciousness is a legit attribute on the OL, and from C to RT we may have that in spades this season.

If I had implied something like what is happening with Corey or whats up with Corey or corey might be injured when there is no way to substantiate that but reworking a thread just because you say a name borders on paranoia in my opinion. Or saying Tate will be named starting QB should be deleted but just saying the name of a player hmmm.

I hear ya but I wouldn’t sweat it. Maybe it was a mistake or maybe a staff member just wanted to exercise his or her authority.

I forgot about Scaife’s intensity, but he’s in there too. Every setting I’ve ever seen him in he competes his *** off even if he’s allegedly out of position at Tackle.

Campbell just has that edge to him that I love. When he couldn’t wait to put hands on Garvin in the Big Cane drill it truly warmed my heart.

We need more of that aggressiveness and competitive fire from our OL. I’ll sacrifice a touch of athleticism on the OL for some good old nastiness and aggression.

Great tone by this dude as well. Sounded a bit like Enos: concise, ready, focused and slightly aggravated. Can't wait till the punches start flying and we see what we've really got.

That's what you want. Your offensive and defensive lines should be slightly aggravated even when they're eating their favorite pizza or ice cream, or getting a blowie. Standard setting should be ****ed off, and when you cross them, it should be outright blind rage.

I think it was Storm Surge podcast just did an interview with DJ Williams, and he said Wilfork wouldn't even talk to him or look him in the eye freshman year. Said he tried to sit down with Big Vince in the cafeteria for lunch one day and Wilfork said "what you want, punk?", or something to that effect. DJ, was like "I thought we were team mates..." said he had to get in good with Vilma so Vilma would vouch for him with Wilfork. Those dudes were a different breed back then.

Anyway, the line of scrimmage is hand to hand combat, trench warfare. The dude who's willing to do whatever it takes is going to be the one that emerges alive from the skirmish. Nasty is absolutely what you need in there.

But can he block Gaytors? The rest is a distant second place in my book.

This is the type of kid who will die trying. He’s not gonna fold or pack it in. 4 quarters of battle. So either the Gaytor DTs got it in them to go to war with him the whole distance or he will come out on top. But he’s not gonna pack it in if he loses a battle or two. That’s what we need and that’s why Romberg loves him!
