If you’re talking on the shelf available most places I would say
Four Roses Small Batch Select (the single barrel private selections are great if you can find them)
**** Creek Private Selections if they are older than 11years
Russels Reserve Single Barrel
Rare Breed is good too
Old Forrester 1920
Elijah Craig Barrle Proof is your best bang for the buck by far.
If they sell Smoke Wagon in you area most of their products are good.

Blantons is fine but way over hyped and not worth the hassle. Weller 107 and Weller 12 are also fine but if I’m drinking a wheater that’s not William Larue Weller it’s probably barrel proof larceny. I couldn’t careless about Pappy unless you somehow have a bottle from the Stitzel-Weller era.

Spent the weekend in Gatlinburg. Just a tourist trap but it’s come a long way for people like me that like to hang out and drink a beer.

Personally, I absolutely hate knoxville. It wouldn’t be a terrible place to live.. because the outskirts are nice. But the city is a dump, always under construction, traffic sucks, meth and coke everywhere, and there’s really not a lot to do.

We may be derailing the thread but idc

went to Gatlinburg for the first time in September. Had fun but not sure what I was expecting. Mostly felt like old school Panama City beach minus the naked females and replace a beach with mountains. Just restaurants, random putt putt courses and t-shirt shops for stuff to do. I enjoyed hiking and hanging out in my cabin unplugged from the world more than anything. This was the view from our cabin.

**** drinking a $5000 bottle in 1 night. Mine wasn’t near that much and I’m doing 1 drink at a time and then switching to monkey shoulder or something similar

When I was down in Miami working a bank merger the exec down there had us over at her house with her husband he had a bottle of 50 year old scotch that he said was about $40k. He told me to pour a glass and I was shaking pouring it. Poured like a splash and he told me I was a bytch. The 2 of us and another guy on the trip with me drank the entire bottle that night and he was ok with it

I still find it crazy that people spend that much on bottles of alcohol. I do very well for myself but not well enough yet to drop G’s on bottles lol. When it’s on someone else’s tab though? Pour me up SEVERAL cups lol

The liquor store my wife bought at is a former business partner of mine and he said he could have got me a 20 for $2000 if he knew I wanted it. I guess it was their 2020 release. I’ve not been too familiar with it until about June this year and it was too late
Geeze man. It's so hard to find that most liquor stores just name the price and people pay it. People buy the **** empty bottles and bags online for $100+. It's gotten crazy. We were selling 23 for $800 back in 2013 and that was with a crazy markup.

Good to see this has expanded 4 pages in 10 minutes since drink has been mentioned. Can fully get behind that, lets keep it going
