I saw the new rivals rankings. Don't get me started.....

How is Sam Bruce not a 5*. I'm gonna tell you this. I've seen him live a few times before and once again on Sunday at Miami. No one can cover him. You can put your best DB on Sam Bruce and he's going to beat that DB. It's a **** shame these sites are too stuck on height. Cause if Bruce was at least 6'0" they wouldn't have any excuse.

McCloud, Richards, Burnett, D. Jackson and Wright all 3 stars? Unbelievable.


Slowly disrespecting Quarterman and Mullins by slowly lowering their position rank every rivals rerank. Quarterman not even in the top 100!?


Tyler Byrd not even in the top 100? He's easily one of the most athletic players in the whole nation.


How is Emmitt Rice ranked higher than Quarterman? How is Rice ranked a 4* and higher than McCloud? McCloud is a more improved version of Rice.

My last rant, Rivals disrespect for west palm beach talent. How is McCloud, Richards, Burnett and Isaiah Johnson not 4 stars?

It's Rivals... They're dumb enough to let Ferman run one of their sites.
 
I don't trust rivals. A few days ago they 're-ranked' our recruits and we had like 9 4-stars, then a couple days later we went down to 8 then the next days 7 and then the next day 6.

its not like I give these ranking much credence, but it appears more positive if your team is ranked higher.
 
Ive slowly lost respect for rivals through out the years and this uear theor rankings are terrible im sticking with 247 and ESPN

my biggest thing is Emmet Rice, has good measurables has a high potential but is not a better LB prospect then Shaq or McCloud. i said it on twitter Rice is a poor mans McCloud that ranking is purely based off his commitment to FSU.
 
It's known that in the recruiting world nowadays, south Florida boys get low ball rankings constantly. It's sad. Not only that but if you commit to Miami the sites won't even look at you for a rerank. While if you commit to Florida state you receive an immediate rank bump.
 
they do this **** every year to miami commits. then as soon as they get interested in gators etc. they get a boost. Do it on purpose in hopes to get kids discouraged and sway them away from miami.

I was telling Shaq the other day... that he is Cold Product... He is a solid commit to Miami... Miami gets no love from the recruiting sites. Every interview he has always begins with "Are you still 100% to your commitment to Miami" and when he says yes they are like okay... But the their tone dies. If Shaq was uncommitted I honestly believe he would be a Five Star and have an invatation to both All-Star games... I tell him to stay focus on whats important and don't fret over things you can't change. dido for Sam Bruce... if he wasn't a Miami commit he would be one of the highest ranked receivers in the country. I challenge any body to look at the OLB thats ranked ahead of Zach McCloud on 247, then compare their film.. its only two or three that is even close, he should be in the top 3. One of the ILB they have ranked in front of Shaq... no exaggeration .. he would not start on Shaq's team.
 
Ya rivals isn't the only one either, 247 , and ESPN are guilty of it too. People just sleep on Miami nowadays in any way they can.
 
If Bruce committed to an SEC school he would easily be a 5*. They try to curve it on every site to make the SEC more over rated than it already is.
 
Rivals is based on who has the most subscribers. U think they going to displease there payroll by ranking a bunch of 3 stars

Its irrelevant Phillip dorsett was a 3 star and was drafted. Denzel perryman was a 3 star on rivals Lol walford was a 2 star with no offers and erik flowers was a low 4 star according to rivals.... theres no politics when it comes to the league
 
Can someone clarify for me what the star rating is, exactly? I was under the impression of projected impact at the next level, am I wrong on that?

That's how ESPN and 247 do it but I don't know about Rivals, Rivals #1 player in their rerankings is the #54 rated player overall on ESPN and I think he's in the top 30 or so on 247. I don't know how rival does but that's a big gap for one player they have ranked #1 and other sites don't have in their top 5.
