I romanced Babers as soon as the news broke.

Wanted him, Herman, Leach, Butch or Durkin last time.

This was a lazy hire, but also makes some sense from the perspective of having been inured to the idea we were stuck w Mork for the next 2 years, at least -

I am at that point that meh - Manny will get two years.

He makes some great hires at OC and DC, beats K Briles and at lease keeps us close or pulls it out vs. Mullen out the gate next year...Who knows?

I am underwhelmed at the hire, but not at all surprised nor apoplectic about it.

Essentially, WORST CASE ANALYSIS - we are in a slightly better position than we were 3 days ago and the dream of changes at OC are here.

So, yes, UM admin did typical UM admin things, but at least we get a shot at a new look offense to be compteitive in the mighty coastal for the next 2 years - Better than 3 days ago.

These last 16 years have beat me up. I was in grad school at UM from 00-03.

....still chasing the dragon.

I’m down with the positives expressed re CMD. But I’ll wait and see. This roller coaster since 2002 has worn me down.

LSU was at 3.5 ypc (under 3 if Knowles fills the correct gap), went 3-16 on 3rd down, completed >50% passes for less than 150 yards. Scored on a pick 6, three short fields and only kicked fg in 2d half. I think you need a new adjective.

The d played one objectively terrible game this year, BC (and the exhibition too, I guess), and didn’t do any favors against GT (but played well enough to win). Hardly an indictment of Manny or his scheme.
