So being deployed has allowed me to pay off some debt and save money. I've been disciplined for 6 months and then WHAM! drop over 1k on cane gear. I mean everything from jerseys to basketball shorts. From the adidas 3/4 jacket that CMR had on to Cane flags and a mailbox. Also bought a game work uni and a helmet. Does anyone else splurge on Cane gear in spurts?
Do I have a problem?

what do you NEED vs what do you WANT?

It so easy to spend deployment/career field/re-enlistment $$$ (hard earned and well deserved btw) without thinking about that key question.

You don't need to live like a monk for sure...but think about this...

Can you eat/use all that Cane gear when you are 60?

just my two cents as a fellow war fighter...
 
I am a sucker for game used jerseys. I have one from every era starting with the 2000 Nike design

Haha - I usually gear up every season and spend about $300 or so on new stuff each year. Don't buy jerseys (anymore) but by the windbreaker jackets, new hats, visors, shorts etc. Typically go thru fanatics.com for most of it. They just finally got some somewhat decent adidas stuff on there.

I like that one. Gives me a thought, let's form a militia and raid seminole casinos, claiming we thought they were FSU stores. We steal all the cash and buy Cane gear for active duty troops. I don't think the 3rd Seminole War actually had a peace treaty so we at least have some claim of legitimacy. For extra protection, we donate some cash to Clinton Foundation -- at least the FBI and AG will leave us alone they.

I should add something about keeping any money we have personally lost there -- I will need help carrying my share.
 
From an older guy! Save your **** money, you will need it later on, buy silver if you want to look at something that will go up in value. Above all thank you very much for serving and be safe.

I don't blame you, enjoy it! I stopped buying gear the last two years since our football program was depressing. The Richt era is refreshing right now and is time to stock up

Me too ...was hard to rep when golden was in charge, now it's a new wave and my he excitement is back!
