Even if they are you don't think an oc can't scheme against us? How do you think we lost to Indiana back shoulder throws! And, baumans **** up!

Then you have unreal expectations! We're playing nobody's and, the defense hasn't giving up a touchdown!! You're complaining about what exactly?...catches being made, no ints, fumbles? But can't be happy with no touchdowns! Defense has giving up 2 fields goals... period....

That's why there passing the ball!.. your last sentence!...and, it's not just scott and moten it's the whole d-line... shutting down the run game at least the d-ends doing half there job run game and batting passes down...it's vanilla for a reason we don't need spicy for Stanford or famu!
 
We'll see. Obviously the pass rush isn't there yet, but the run D is better might be better. I don't think we've shown much of what Heatherman intends to do against better offenses because we haven't needed anything special yet. And I don't think Wake, as good as their QB might be, is running the 2007 Patriot offense against us next Friday. I hope we do get a challenge, for a half.

Then who is playing defense? because, no touchdowns giving up? That means players out there making plays preventing the other team's from scoring a touchdown....to outscore the other team? our defense is doing there job!!!
 
I think we may see a softer more bend don't break type D. Heatherman knows we don't have to be all world/as risky this season with this O. Just a hunch but I see us making teams work for it more rather then be risky bc we know our O isn't the best.

Wake is this years version of Louisville or smu gimmicky offense no defense they may score but can it consistently score with us? If it wasn't for becks 6 interceptions against Louisville and smu those are blowouts!...one could say if it wasn't for becks interceptions we would be undefeated last year!

Its still early but I think this offense will end up better than 2024.

Don't get me started on Beck because I was never a fan of him lol. I could see like a 48-21 type of game against Wake. 40 points a game should be the expectation.
 
I can see 38-41ppg on offense and 24ppg on defense. That's roughly a top 10 offense and top 50 defense using last years metrics. On a game to game, I guess we'll see.

If you mean wide open 5 to 10 yards down the field maybe 5 times a game I can live with that.

The dline is not as strong but def room to get better and LBs can be exploited but we said that about LB last year and did ok. I'm more concerned about Oline but Mensah can cover a lot of that up.
 
For all you fools that are tripping over Wake Forest, would you please stop and research who their QB is?

I mean, sure, they obviously could scheme against us. However, we have Corey Hetherman and an insanely talented/deep CB room. With who we have on the schedule, we have more than enough to get the job done

Also, that was pretty **** good coverage on the back-shoulder throw. The number 1 pick and Heisman trophy winner just made an even better throw

This - we need 17 and 30 taking more reps and stepping up. Toure is great. Ht there’s a reason he’s in year 12 of college football. Chase smith is just not that dude.

Wiley has potential to be elite and need to make that jump this season. Marcelin was a baller at Central and any kid who balls down here in HS with the speed can cover sideline to sideline. He also is bigger than I thought seeing him last night in person.

I would be somewhat concerned if we had last year's offense.

But I think our offense is gonna be routinely getting into the high-30s, if not high-40s.

This isn't the 2024 defense that was a sieve.

He's been fine. 2 games he's not as advertised huh...how about you give it a couple more games before you flip ****.
