The system needs to stay where it’s at with an adjustment to the possibility of two g5’s
Also I wasn’t alive for the 93 sugar bowl so I’ll just say please god let us have another shot at Ohio state
To your point, "fixes" are coming. They're already guaranteeing ND gets in if they're in the final top 12 ranking. They're also going to most likely require the G5 schools to be in the Top X (12, 15, 20) to get an automatic bid. And finally the ACC is going to go back to the drawing board to make sure no 5 loss team makes their conference championship game.
Not sure those fixes are all perfect. I'm an advocate for 16, no more. Don't like the play-in concept because it puts so much more pressure on those teams that need to play extra games, and let's face it, that's essentially the same as saying 16 anyway.
Along with 16, I think they need to have a minimum and maximum number of teams per conference. The way the SEC is schedulling their OOC opponents now, plus the ESPN collusion, they're going to have a lot of highly ranked 0-OOC- OOC teams with 2-3 in-conference losses all claiming to be deservring but not. Got to cap that ****.
