Cubans and newcomers built that city. It was a backwater prior to 1960. Miami benefited from receiving the "Harvard and Wharton Cubans". I refuse to live there but love to visit.

I politely pointed out to you that the population #'s you posted to the board were bogus and showed you why.

Most people would stand corrected and move on ...but not you. You try to defend the indefensible and then try transparent slight of hand by attempting to change the subject, insult me and provide meaningless personal info as if that justifies your population fantasy.

Well, I grew up here and most small kids know that your numbers were pulled out of someones ***. Also I grew up and went to school, college and Wharton with many of those Cubans you refer to. So I know Miami history pre and post.

There are lots of smart people on this board so instead of getting all upset when you're called on something. Either know beforehand, say Im guessing or be willing to accept being corrected without all this drama. All you had to say was ...oh ok and move on. You're the one who turned this into a sideshow.

Ive moved on. Suggest that you do the same

Have nothing against you. Accept it and move on. Since you shared I will too. Born and raised here in Miami. Lived and went to and graduated from Wharton GSB with many of the Cubans who helped build Miami. And YES I am fortunate enough to have a lot of time on my hands when I wish because I built, and own my own company here and in Philly and have been enjoying life's many pleasures.

I wish the same or better for anyone....especially those willing to accept and face facts, and move on without excuses.

Really surprised that you possess a Wharton degree. My experience in business is that they possess much more even temperament than what you are demonstrating. Was it a "certificate" (or "weekend classes") or an actual degree?

How could something so trivial incense someone so markedly. To each their own............. [I still believe that Cubans built that city!]
