TBH there was a large, vocal segment of fans that weren’t glad our staff stayed on him. Said we were wasting resources, getting played etc. While some of us were saying if there’s a chance then you fight to the bitter end.

I was not part of the vocal segment, but I certainly believed we were probably wasting our time. Happy to be wrong. We don’t win tons of recruiting battles it’s nice to have some momentum going into spring on all fronts
