Why would Brent Venebles be a bad choice as a HC candidate? His defense is performing at a high level and it feels like a scheme that would be well accepted by S.Florida kids.

Just a thought...

they win 80-90% of the fanbase with butch hiring, anyone else and the fan support will still be trash. butch can beat saban n fisher for recruits hes the only one who can, i didnt think fisher was a slam dunk hire when he was under bowden until he hit the trail, with bowden at the top fisher cud not recruit that well. when he took over he was a monster and everyone with a brain knew he would win, butch can compete with those guys recruiting and we will win like we always have not with x and os with fkin better players than everyone else.

oh and dwinstitles and thats how we always win wit defense, butch would lock it up. his lbs would never be slow or his dbs, oh and his team are stout upfront and thats what wins games.
 
Butch gets people in the seats. I think the Board may have come to the conclusion that the Program needs an immediate shot of adrenaline.

However, those of us without connections are shooting in the dark. LuCane, D$, and Ted Hendricks' Offspring might have a better idea where things actually stand.

Seems a little presumptuous since none of the current HS kids have even seen Butch coach a team while the others you mention are among the preeminent names in CFB coaching, right or wrong. I do agree, wholeheartedly, with your assertion about winning with defense even in this over penalized, spread offense era.

While I am a fan of bringing Butch back I am still not sure why a guy with Florida recruits coaching the top ranked defense, again, wouldn't be at least a decent consideration.

That's a very sound criticism of the Butch fans. Today's kids have NO IDEA who Butch is.

Their parents and coaches do, though, and I think that speaks in favor of Butch.

Bc the school is in no position to take on a college coordinator to be HC.

His Head Coaching experience is . . . WHAT?

Maybe look at other coordinators - Slippery Rock, Louisiana Tech, LIberty, Monmouth, Rhode Island, Norfolk State . . .

Is there ANY OTHER frikkin' coordinators, High School coaches, or Badminton coaches we think could do well here?

they know who butch is everyone does, karlos williams did scarlett did. they know who he is thats bs, his tiesr deep. n if they didnt they saw 30 for 30, and kids r about money n that nfl ticket. alot of kids havent went miami because they want to be assure that they guy up top can develop them n takem to that next level. butch reassures that
