One of the few times I rooted for FSU (besides when they play UF) and they ***** it up. Had they beat Oklahoma, we would have certainly got a piece of the title as we would have been voted #1 by the other poll.
I had bet the canes before the season to win the title got 35-1 odds, my guy said if they had spit the title he would have paid off the bet.
I thought FSU was going to roll, and it was the only time I ever rooted for them and they **** the bed.
lol still pains me to this day.

As much fun as it was smoking UF in the Sugar Bowl, we shoulda been playing Oklahoma for the natty....

That was the year we beat FSU head to head...both ended up with 1 loss...and FSU inexplicably ended up #2 and ahead of us in the BCS.... was a total joke....

FSU went on to an epic offensive explosion - 2 points - in their Orange Bowl loss to OU....

Had the BCS not been so fvcked up...we would most likely be talking about 6 rings for the Canes....
They listened to Bowden and his aw shucks there was a time when fsu beat Miami and Miami went on to play for the championship. What he didn't tell them was bus had two loses that year to Miami's one loss.that is the main reason I have no respect for bowden. I also consider 2000 a bigger ripoff of Miami than 2002

Yep. Was my senior year at Miami too. Ill be chapped about not getting to watch us win a natty in our backyard that year until the day I die. We would have absolutely blown OU out that night, hands down.

I always thought Kevin ***an was one imposing beast putting his had in the dirt with 22" guns loved the pits ole timers here remember him ended up playing many years with 49ers.

I was in New Orleans when that game took place. My team was in the intramurals flag football championships. I met some of the players on Bourbon St. Met Mount McKinnie, Jarrett Payton, and I think Todd Sievers to name a few. We beat their asses on the field and in the streets. Loved it.
