I have a couple questions on FSU and Buyouts.

Does anyone think FSU loses another game and Norvell will be fired, or do they wait until the end of the season? Do you think FSU will put Gus in as interim? I think they would as the offense has been pretty good. Also, do you think they may then hire him full time? :confused:

On buyouts, I wonder if teams have set aside a fund for just buyouts so they are prepared to fire a HC at any time and not have that be a factor. It would have to be 20-40 M in the fund. Or ALL universities agree to just not negotiate buyouts. That would be the ideal situations. These schools are killing themselves on buyouts.

They're going to hope he gets to 6 or 7 wins so they can stay out of this coaching market.
 
I had them going 3-3 to finish out. I thought for sure it's a win at Stanford, but it depends on who plays. If Castellanos can't run like in the Pitt game, it's trouble. Is Duce, Squirrel or Pittman playing? They all are hurt. Your traveling 3 times zones to play with a team very down on themselves. This game could be trouble and if they lose, then I see a 5 win season. They have to find the money to fire him. His agent raped them with the fake Bama story. You have to have a experienced AD or you get hood winked by thick team binders(Blake James) or fake agent leaks to get more money(Michael Alford). That is incompetence by the people who hired those AD's.

I think they will lose 2-3 more, whether that triggers the buyout is something I don't know. It's a ton of money for a school that's already facing a ton of debt with the stadium re-work. I hope he sticks around for a few more years.

I was told by someone I would think, would know, when they restructured his contract this off season to cut his salary in half this season, his buyout is not what everyone believes it is. That person believes he is for sure getting fired. I just haven't heard this from anyone else so I am still skeptical of that. Regardless, they have to fire him.
 
With so many high profile openings already and more likely to happen, including PSU, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Auburn, etc., FSU would likely be down to their 5th, 6th or even 7th choice. Not a good position to be in. Same goes for UF.
