I hate the targeting penalty..

The rule itself sucks but fine, whatever, I get it.. but to get kicked out (not to mention next game BS) after one incidental play is garbage.

Sorry UAB senior. Didn't realize your last play would be 2 quarters early on a pretty clean hit but rules are rules. No more football for you.

That was BS. They called it the play after they called it on that kid Moll from Miami. Luckily they overturned molls. We should have offered Moll. Kid was a beast out there.

The rule needs to be amended for sure but unfortunately, it won't happen because people will pretend that you're advocating brain damage or something."Helmet to helmet" has just become way too common parlance to stop the targeting ejections from incidental contact.

I just want it to be a personal foul. Get two of them & you're gone. Allow plays deemed dirty for a Flagarant 2 type ejection. Pretty simple.

I don’t get when ur lunging at someone and then a player slides down and u connect helmet how that’s a targeting call. My initial angle was ur chest.

If I was a senior on UAB who didn't plan on going to the NFL. I would just go and absolutely target the fvck out of whatever player was talking the most schit. The game is basically over. They have nothing to lose.

I say you get two targeting penalties you get kicked out the game. Meaning if you target someone in game one and don't commit anymore for the rest of the game and the 2nd game you commit another targeting call you get kicked out the game depending on which quarter you made the penalty. Somewhere along those lines.
