Putting Golden in the same breath as anyone who even attempts that is an insult.

Objectively, that's good coach speak.

The last regime was fairly decent with the rhetoric (cheeseburger aside) but absolutely horrible with planning and execution.

Now can we move on?

Yeah he had the team do some training with Navy Seals before last season I think.

No, it was literally training with actual seals. The players came back and could actually bounce the dodge ball on their noses and clap at the same time. It was one of the more impressive things an Al Golden coached team achieved.

I took it a totally different way when Golden said it. He sounded like he was saying "don't try to do anything special". The quote phrased this way has a different meaning.

I missed it at first, then almost ****ed myself. The image of Golden and his boyfriend slapping their hands together like seal flippers burst into my mind

Me too. The Seals mean that in crisis you will by nature default to your training and not something higher, therefore training MUST be the hardest. Al made is sound like you shouldn't try to rise up.

Al probably had the quote right in his head, but executed it poorly on game day.

Afraid we cant man, so many Al threads im starting to think some on here secretely wish he was still coach

Dudes used Shannon as Golden's scapegoat (or freely allowed others to) for 5 straight years but want to call the dogs off on Golden not even 1 year removed lol. Thank God Richt won't need the same privilege.

The staff in just a few phucking months has demonstrated what a complete and utter idiot and fraud goldofrito is. The hate for him by real Cane fans will never go away.
