I got stadium seats from the Orange Bowl For Sale

humble brag. I got one for my birthday years ago, and then I got it signed by Howard when he was at FAU. It is probably one of my favorite memorabilia items
 
I tried taking a couple seats after that last Miami Northwestern playoff game at the OB. It did not turn out well.

In the section I was in, a good amount of the orange seats were already removed and were just sitting atop the metal rails. Also, outside of the stadium, there were a couple of piles from other sections that had already been collected. I snatched a couple up when I was headed for the gate, but a couple of MPD's quickly changed my plans.

They actually were able to be ripped out by hand post UVA tragedy if you just harnessed a little rage. We walked out with 6 of them but only ended up going home with 3 as they had City of Miami police and security stopping anyone as they exited with "mementos".
 
Something like that would look good on my front porch (bolted down of course) and would really p.o. all the Tar Heels that walk by.

****! So close! I'd have tried too.

I imagine quite a bit of stuff walked away from there over the course of the demo. I wonder whatever happened to the "The City of Miami Welcomes You to the Orange Bowl" sign.
 
These are the seats that Mrs. Peruche & I sat in for many years. Took them from the womb of the Ole Lady after the last UM game played at the Orange Bowl against Virginia on the night of November 10th, 2007. Mrs. Peruche had a commemorative plaque made and then framed them for me. They now proudly hang in my home office.

Mine are built into a bench in the mud room. I'd be interested in more.....lemme know if these prior inquiries fall through.
