...that more than 1 conference loss might kill our chance at winning the Coastal the way it's setting up right now. Vag Tech doesn't play anyone, and UNC just erased what many were expecting to be one of their 1 or 2 conference losses.

I feel like 2 conference losses might put you on the outside looking in. What say you?

We need to unc beat to VT this weekend and then we need to beat unc. I agree that vt doesn't play anyone so unc giving them a loss is big

Honestly Georgia tech is our best friend right now. If gt beats unc and vt or at least one of those then we're golden becuase they are already eliminated

The Coastal is still the Coastal. Teams will find ways to lose games they should not.

I think we beat both of them head to head. We seem to have ppl in charge who will use our advantages to our advantage

I agree this year there's parity in the ACC. Besides Clem & Louisville 1 loss in the coastal could be detrimental for anyone's chances.

I think UNC will lose @ Miami & @ Duke...

They don't have a Defense, which means any given Saturday they could get caught slippin'

Va Tech plays nothing but tough road games for the rest of the year...

They'll take L's @ UNC, home vs Miami, @ Pitt & @ Notre Dame.

Games they could possibly lose are, @ Syracuse & @ Duke.

I don't think 1 Coastal loss will cost us the Division.

Cant lose to anyone in the division. It will ***** us someway somehow.

If we must drop one this year, hopefully its to NC state.

UNC has a lethal offense, but that defense leaves much to be desired.
Teams with subpar defenses are capable of losing games to teams they are supposed to beat.
They have the football version of the "glass jaw".

I think Brad's gonna have some fun against their secondary

I wouldn't count on that. Not so sure anyone is going to slow UNC's offense down.

I'm getting the feeling we might have a couple teams tied with 1 conference loss.

I think multiple teams will have 2 losses it will come down to tie breakers

VT still has to go to Notre dame

We have to beat NC

GTech is gonna beat NCarolina or Vtech their gonna win one if those games

I wouldn't be surprised to see VT take the game this weekend, then we beat UNC, then VT loses to Syracuse and/or Pitt.

However, we need to win out from here on and control our own destiny. If we lose, as much as I'd hate to see it, it would be best to be at ND.

Our depth will catch up to us at one point, I just hope it's after we've built ourselves a scenario to where we can afford the loss(es).

That has no bearing on the standings.

I think gt game is one unc may be worried about.

Their rushing defense is one of the worst in the country and unc's offense won't have much time to do anything with their defense stuck on the field

Agreed. FSU is a must-win for rivalry sake, and UNC a must-win for Coastal supremacy. As others have commented, UNC beating VT would be a bonus. I am not sold on VT, and I think the Hokies could lose @Pitt, GT, and @ND. VT got jackhammered by Tennessee, the only decent team they played. ND isn't a conference game but would count as an overall loss.

UNC's defense is awful, and they were fortunate to pull out two last minute wins over Pitt and FSU. Miami should roll up points if Richt opens up the offense.

I hope you're right, old buddy. I don't see anyone, aside from us who can really punish that D, as bad as it is. They're going to score **** near as often as they want to when they're clicking.

Trubisky is deadly accurate and seems like he is clutch too, which is one question I had about him coming into the year because he's never had to be. Switzer is a pain in the ****. He's always open and never drops the ball. Seems like he's been there 12 years. They've got two excellent RBs too and 2 other high end WRs.

Agreed The Franchise

With a win over FSU, the head to head match up with UNC is looking like the defacto Coastal division title game for the Canes.
