Wish they had 2 or 3 deep since so many greats are missing...doubt OSU could go 3 deep.

The one missing that can't be dismissed is Jerome Brown

I'm not against any kind of all-time great Hurricane list but in no way should Jerome Brown and Russell Maryland be left off a first team all-time great list.... Both were MONSTROUSLY DOMINANT.... People should go back and watch Russell's vids and see how freaking dominant he was... He was the only DT we ever had that went #1 overall in the draft... That's a pretty big accomplishment.
Again , no knock on anymore... It's just my personal preference.

I'm gonna say it again.. any list without Horatio Benedict Blades Sr on it is incomplete. Even if its on NFL production only. Bennie went 3rd overall for fcks sake. Wasn't an NFL hof player, but made the all rookie team a pro bowl and an all pro team.

I agree but the way our defense's dominated back in the eighties and early nineties thered be a few you could !Dave out but not many.

If JEROME BROWN is not on any UM first team list, it shouldnt be submitted, the case can be made about russel maryland being good, and yes he did go #1 overall but he was not better than sapp who was worthy of the #1 overall pic, most should remember why he got dropped in the draft, and their nfl careers continued to show who was the best, sapp over russell all day!

One of my all time favorite players, but him not being top 2 makes the case even stronger why we will always be known to produced the best football players. But their is no argument i can see where bennie would be starting over SEAN TAYLOR or ed reed, lol, absolutely none, the only way bennie is starting over SEAN TAYLOR or reed is by how he did it in the past, he got to UM before they did, other than that, i cant see it. All 3 had the utmost confidence, if im starting a secondary, SEAN TAYLOR is going #1, that play that ed reed made against boston college where he came up and debo'ed the ball from matty walters, who didnt know who it was, tells you all you need to know about 2.0. E--reed:

what about ***an nobody talks about him but he had a good nfl career with the niners.that's why I don't like comparing players who didn't play together.Like reed and st for instance.they are great players but back in the eighties and nineties teams didn't pass like they do when they played.what I'm saying we've had so many great players come here it's hard to chose who's first team etc.back in the day we didn't rebuild we reloaded cause guys down the depth chart were just as good as the starters.

Daniel Stubbs had a good career here and a productive one in the pros as well... Jimmie Jones was another...

If teams back in bennies day were more pass oriented like they were during reeds and Taylor's time I bet the state would be pretty close along with the other great dbs we had then.teams ran the ball more then.for instance back in the eighties ou would avg 400 yrs rushing and a 100 yrs passing a game.ditto for b10 teams then as well.more I formation power sweeps and dives compared to when reed and co played.

There was just so many spaces on the list. However, they all mentioned that there were greats that were left off. Yes Jerome should be there. But we won regardless, and we can rest assured that the U will go down as the Goat of dynasties producing some of the best football talent ever.
Side note... I love Manny's attitude.

Question... who would you drop from the list to insert J. Brown? For me it could be Gonzalez or Rolle.
One of my personal favorites has to be Danny Stubbs, maybe not to be on the list but I loved this guy at the U and the Cowboys.

It would have to be by position so I would bounce Calais off...
Stubbs spent about a year and a half with the Cowboys but did have a productive year nonetheless .... He tied Jimmie Jones for sack lead on the team that year...

I think you should go back and watch Oklahoma play when troy aikman was the starter, we was about to be in a dog fight in 85!
