You guys keep throwing around the several guys playing on Sunday's evidence, but our issue is Depth, not having 7 guys. Honestly, I feel a lot of teams reached for these players, we saw them play, they aren't that good. Yes, golden can recruit, so our good players are actually decent, but the drop-off from there to our reserves is precipitous. ( mostly because of age) This is the first year, we actually have redshirts coming back and the like. It's not rocket science why we've faded the previous years. You guys act like the probation years had no effect on us, or should've had minimal effect. Why? The whole point of probation is to punish the school so that they can't compete at the same level. Well, NCAA, mission accomplished.

The **** that ****es me off is now Canes fans are basically extending the damage of the Shapiro years by being unreasonable and ******* crybabies, I went to games when the Canes truly sucked and we supported them through the good times and bad. ( before Schnelly) If I didn't know any better, I would say this site has been infiltrated by Noles and Gaytors, you guys talk so much **** about Miami. WTF???? Are you guys really that ******* stupid?

Yes, I'm ****ed off our defense looked like garbage last year, did you see who we had playing linebacker? ( besides Perryman, who was Canes material) A lot of the kids playing on defense last year, would never be playing in a program not gutted by sanctions and probation. They need time to grow up and develop. This is the first year we have a semblance of depth, I'm going to predict that we have a much better defense and we won't fade like last year. Is it really that difficult to see?

Offensively, I am very concerned. I hope Kaaya can make up for our deficiencies or else I think Golden is gone. But why bash on Miami and help FSU and UF recruit? I know as fans, it's hard to be objective, but do you really want another 3-4 year rebuilding process. We have a nice recruiting class shaping up and if we can gain some momentum this year, by playing well, this is the shortest path towards a successful Miami football team. Don't cut off your nose to spite your own face! Stop being emotional drama queens, pathetic fans. . .

I love when people talk about how Butch was a horrible gameday coach and neglect to mention the fact that he was a first time head coach with 1/3 less of the scholarships allowed to other teams. It's like putting a legged player on the field and talking about how bad he sucks. Even with that, Butch only had one really bad season which was in the 3 year of the sanctions. With far worse sanctions, he had a better record here than Golden.
