Well played chise.
A bit sad that (supposed) canes fans can't take any joy in a victory. I guess it's not that surprising, given the PTSD - inducing last couple of years. But it's sad nonetheless.
It's a bit sad that Canes fans can't be objective and actually rely on facts, instead of their girly *****ing on how they don't like Coach golden. The last time we played BCC, they ran up 350+ yards and converted on 3rd down more than 50% of the time. This time we allowed 78 yards? That's a big difference.
Here are the main reasons.
1. We have depth on the defensive side of the ball this year. How many players went pro when Golden came in and the NCAA Shapiro fiasco rolled in? Just like Penn State did OK last year, they will suck hard this year. The recruiting/depth issues take a year or two to rear their ugly heads. Hopefully we are only going to gain momentum and depth from this year forward. I see a steady upward progression with or without Golden. People underestimate the damage that Shapiro had on this program.
2. Unfortunately, the offense still has little depth and that showed in the second half as well. One or two players go down on the line and we're toast. Most of our late season swoons are because of depth and youth issues.
3. I'm not sold on Golden either. If we don't take a positive step this year, he needs to fired. Why? Because, from here on out, the path is clear for us to get back to Canes football. We can't keep Golden and limit the football program.
I feel Golden deserves some credit for getting us through the Shapiro nonsense relatively unscathed. ( it could've been a lot worse!) Let's give him a chance to succeed this year. If he fails, then on to the next coach. Who wants to come down here though?

You've gone full ******, and you should never go full ******.
Objectivity and stats you say? Seven losses in his fourth full year with a team with several guys that are playing on Sunday's now . Guy is something like 1-17 against teams that finished with less than five losses .
You don Bailey jr disciples shouldn't even whisper the word stats

You guys keep throwing around the several guys playing on Sunday's evidence, but our issue is Depth, not having 7 guys. Honestly, I feel a lot of teams reached for these players, we saw them play, they aren't that good. Yes, golden can recruit, so our good players are actually decent, but the drop-off from there to our reserves is precipitous. ( mostly because of age) This is the first year, we actually have redshirts coming back and the like. It's not rocket science why we've faded the previous years. You guys act like the probation years had no effect on us, or should've had minimal effect. Why? The whole point of probation is to punish the school so that they can't compete at the same level. Well, NCAA, mission accomplished.
The **** that ****es me off is now Canes fans are basically extending the damage of the Shapiro years by being unreasonable and ******* crybabies, I went to games when the Canes truly sucked and we supported them through the good times and bad. ( before Schnelly) If I didn't know any better, I would say this site has been infiltrated by Noles and Gaytors, you guys talk so much **** about Miami. WTF???? Are you guys really that ******* stupi
Yes, I'm ****ed off our defense looked like garbage last year, did you see who we had playing linebacker? ( besides Perryman, who was Canes material) A lot of the kids playing on defense last year, would never be playing in a program not gutted by sanctions and probation. They need time to grow up and develop. This is the first year we have a semblance of depth, I'm going to predict that we have a much better defense and we won't fade like last year. Is it really that difficult to see?
Offensively, I am very concerned. I hope Kaaya can make up for our deficiencies or else I think Golden is gone. But why bash on Miami and help FSU and UF recruit? I know as fans, it's hard to be objective, but do you really want another 3-4 year rebuilding process. We have a nice recruiting class shaping up and if we can gain some momentum this year, by playing well, this is the shortest path towards a successful Miami football team. Don't cut off your nose to spite your own face! Stop being emotional drama queens, pathetic fans. . .

You actually take joy in a victory against Bethune? Really? The gap of talent between both teams is so large that it should be illegal for these games to be played. That's the sad part. Enjoy this "victory" super fan.
Guilty. I enjoy every Canes victory, and without a shutout for five years, I'll take one even against the little sisters of the poor. Number 3 in total defense, baby!
Mods, still waiting on that name change to "superfan".
I propose "Don Bailey Jr's nut sack" as a more appropriate and applicable screen name
...But I think we might be back. We just completely dominated that football game. Most of the guys on BCC are from Florida, so they must be very good. I haven't seen defense like that since last year when we had that little run.
I know the crybabies are going to say that we just beat a bunch of cripples who might be a 3 win FCS team. But I'll be damned! That's a different Hurricanes team I saw tonight. Wake up the echoes because we looked like the old Jerome Brown/Cortez Kennedy defenses the way we pounded those Florida boys.
FAU's going to have their hands full with us next week. I think we're going to hammer them too. I'm guzzling that orange drink tonight, fellas!
I watched a lot of football this weekend, and I don't think any other FBS teams manhandled an FCS school all weekend. When's the last time we really took it to a horrible team? I can't recall us doing it.

Don Bailey Jr is ridiculously bias and irrational but he does it to keep his job. Beast admitted it last week that he defended coaches for job security at the time. What's super fan's excuse?
4 wins MAX.
After tonight's debacle, by BCU, there's only 3 wins left.

We'll be 4-0 after Cincy. No way that we go 0-8 after that. You may want a losing season, but 4-8 is going to be really tough.
I think that even us "pro" Golden fans are just as fed up as ant-Golden fans. I just can't understand the entitled, hysterical, and misguided reactions. It's like wishing your parents would die soon, so you can get the inheritance faster. I mean Who TF thinks like that? I want, I want, the entitled generation. No **** patience. You really want the team to implode, ( something you love, to die?) so that you can get your fictional coach in here quicker. ( Butch is not coming back to Miami!) Let things play themselves out and see what happens. They were running Butch out on a rail too before he turned it around. Butch was a horrible game day coach by the way.
Lets support the team this year and make some progress. Imagine if we would've fired Golden last year and hired Leach, like many here wanted. Be careful what you wish for. . .

It was my biggest fear coming into this season...schedule is ridiculously easy . A well trained chimp coaching this team could win 8 or 9 this year
