I don't like Barry Jackson (Dugans related)

FSU just fired Lawrence Dawsey their WR coach of 12 years looks like this is happening

Who else knew that this clown would show himself on this topic?

FSU is a dumpster fire right now, we have all the momentum. Alumni be dammned why would he leave?

And if does best of luck to him, he is very replaceable

FSU is far from a "dumpster fire". If anything, they'd have been more of a disaster if Fisher stayed—but a clean start with Taggart is just what they needed.

Loaded with talent and started the season No. 3 before Franciois went down and the wheels fell off. Taggart can assemble a good staff and get that ship righted pretty quickly. Wishful thinking to say the program has reached dumpster fire-status.

As for Dugans, Tallahassee born-and-raised, FSU alum, grad assistant there a decade ago and came to Miami from South Florida two years ago after working on Taggart's staff.

Would love for him to stay at Miami, but if roles were reversed and this was a Cane and 305 native on FSU's staff thinking about coming home, no matter what the state of the program—everyone would expect them to return if asked.

Sounds like an FSU slurp fest.

With every eligible junior leaving, and a recruiting class that is subpar, I'd say the dumpster fire has just begun.

This has to be part of the issue with Grimes.

Wtf are you spewing newb? Grimes? FYI Don't need

Yep, don't need 5 ⭐️talent on this team. That 38-3 loss was just a bad day. U guys make my head hurt 🤦

Lol Kyle who is this joker calling you newb? They must not know about MTplantz.

We need Grimes badly. Aside from Berrios there was zero consistency from any other receiver, and now we’ll be without Berrios. Grimes would start immediately.

When Willie was balls deep in yesterday, did he give you a reach around?

I think Dugans has done a good job here and while I'd hate to see him leave, I wouldn't be overly concerned. That said, besides emotional ties to an alma mater, I really see no reason for him to make a lateral move to a riskier situation. Richt and his staff are sitting pretty in Miami for the foreseeable future. The Taggart situation in Tallahassee is a huge question mark. There's talent on the roster but the brass at FSU aren't going to be patient like the people at Western Kentucky and USF were. If he's not competing for ACC and national titles, he won't make it past year three.

Dugans has barely any allegiances left with with anyone of the FSU staff... He's here with his understudy, in Richt, and would be wise to stick with someone that's respected in the industry, and totally capable of calling in a few favors later on in life for Dugans.

Also Dugans has family here in Miami, that i know personally. It's a good gig, the team is on the way up, which is strengthening his resume...

He'd go backwards in choosing to coach at FSU, with Randy 2.0.

Dugans has closer ties to Richt and their time at fsu than anyone currently at fsu. I get that Dugans was on Taggert's staff at USF. I think Dugans is using this to apply a little pressure for a raise at UM...nothing wrong with that, the man has earned it!

Kool is the only one I really care about staying. As long as Mark Richt is our head coach he will replace any of those position coaches with better ones. He hired them and he can replace them. If you have a competent well respected HC it doesn't matter. As much as we hate Saban, he is the one that matters in Alabama. His assistants come and go.

This is certainly a reasonable assertion, especially the last 2 sentences.

You, sir, have the best drugs of anyone on this site and I commend you for your choice in dealers.

***gart was hired on December 5, and negotiated with f$u for several days before signing on. In the nearly three weeks since ***gart knew he was taking the job, he has only a handful of confirmed coaching hires: (1) Telly Lockette, TE coach; (2) Donte Pimpleton, RB coach; and (3) Raymond Woddie, Defensive Assistant. That's it. He has struck out on Mario Cristobal and Jim Leavitt (and God knows who else). And Randy Sanders ran off to become head coach at East Tennessee State.

So in perhaps the most important year in all of the modern college football era for a transitioning head coach to quickly assemble his staff for recruiting purposes, ***gart managed to fill 3 low-level positions in 3 weeks by hiring a TE coach, a RB coach, and a Defensive Assistant. Ostensibly, he should also be game planning for that bowl game f$u should be ineligible for (The Ineligi-BOWL?). At that rate, he'll be lucky to have his full staff assembled by February 7, 2018.

Meanwhile, less than 1/3 of 247's Top 101 2018 recruits remain unsigned, and most p5 schools have at least twice as many signed commits as f$u. ***gart has a total of 6 kids signed and only 4 more oral commitments (one of which, Meadows, is reportedly visiting Miami on the last weekend before National Signing Day). As of right now, f$u has the N0. 34 recruiting class in the nation. UM, on the other hand, has the No. 5 class and has 19 recruits signed. USF picked up 18 signatures. Lowly UiF -- also in a coaching transition -- has 13 recruits in. UCF also got 13 signed. ****, even FIU managed to get 16 kids signed!

But it's worse than that! F$u has 17 graduating seniors. Derrick Nnandi, Matt Thomas, Jacob Pugh, Trey Marshall, and Ermon Lane (ha!) are gone. Juniors Josh Sweat and Derwin James have both already declared for the NFL draft. Juniors Jacques Patrick, Demarcus Christmas, and Tarvarus McFadden remain undecided.

Basically, ***gart is a corch sitting by his window sill watching all the good coaches and recruits get signed away, and he's too soft/inexperienced/dumb to do anything about it. F$U is a dumpster fire.

This thread is in the running for the annual “Getting Your Panties in a Bunch Award”.

Assistant coaches come, and they go. Coach Dugans has done an effective job concerning on the field coaching and recruiting, but apparently not at a level where he is being headhunted by numerous programs from across the nation. That is not meant to be a cheap shot at Coach Dugans, just a factual observation.

Additionally, it is not out of the realm of possibilities that there might even be an upgrade at that coaching position. As working with Coach Richt, who is one of the great offensive minds in college football today and a program now enjoying ever growing national prominence, would have to be a very enticing opportunity for most any wide receivers coach.

I suspect there would be a long line of quality coaching prospects for Coach Dugans' position should he opt to leave the program.
