This isn’t remotely the team I thought it would be. I saw practice in Mid-August and we were miles better than this.

Let’s start out with this: King and Lashlee don’t work. They just don’t. And it was obvious last night they don’t care for each other.

Why the **** aren’t the freshman WRs on the field?

OL looked better than this. A lot. I don’t get it.

I physically WATCHED Mallory look all-conference. What the ****?

There is some serious illness going on up top. I like Manny, have shook his hand. But he is going to take a 9/10 win to 7-5.

The only difference between this year's offense and last year's is the loss of Brevin. Logically, with a year's practice, everyone should improve.

Why they look horrible out there is beyond me. I have to hope things will come together.

Manny is a terrible head football coach. And an
Average D coordinator and that’s putting it kindly. I say more like below average. That’s what happened to this team to answer your question. And exactly what will happen to this team every year the ESPN video engineer that never even PLAYED the ******* game is employed here.
 
That’s definitely possible, but I’m not stupid. I have watched at least a practice every year since 2006. This isn’t reflective of the practices I saw. At all.

Cribby, I hope, will back me up. This looks like a team that knows their HC isn’t invested in winning

Why are you clamoring for the freshman WR's? If Trashlee would scheme up Rambo and Smith we could have something but King and Trash love featuring Harley.

they looked better bc they were playing each other...............................................

Last season was traditionally when an O-Line playing together for two years should have improved and made the jump if that was going to happen; it didn't and is why the so called most "experienced" O-Line has made little to no progress, plays with little instinct for the position and appears lost as things are happening around them.

Ever occur to you that you and most everyone else in here have no idea what you are looking at in the off season? Green tree all American is not an actual award.

simplest explanation....we were going against ourselves.

Mallory has never played like that....only when going against our defense in practice. Don't know why we expected him to play that way when he has never constantly shown that.

I think what you are describing is the greentree all-american phenomena that plagues us. Which is probably why you have Scaife starting over JO. Greg Rousseau not starting, DJ Ivey starting, etc etc etc. These guys look good in practice probably and that's what the coaches are going off of. They need to find the gamers, the Tyrique's, the Restrepo's, and play those guys.

maybe it’s the fact that we were going up against ourselves and we’re not terribly good
 
I think through the smoke touched on this. We practice at half speed, don't really tackle etc. It's as controlled experiment that gives us the placebo effect that maybe we're something we're not. It's happened how many seasons now?? We just aren't good enough and we keep convincing ourselves we're amazing because we're beating our own crappy team
