I just think they’re completely incompetent and very bad at their job . What’s that saying don’t attribute to malice what can be chalked up to incompetence. Just think of how much better the SEC refs where for the A&M game

maybe not out to get us but refs are human and they have bias against us for sure.. Like what others may get off with a warning, we get a flag.. like technically you can throw one on both, and it allows the ref plausible deniability but majority its just get back in huddle for others and those thugs need to learn their lesson for us.. :kypowcc:

What sucks is IMO if that same Chaney play happens in the early 3rd quarter, they reverse it. No matter if it was our fumble or not. It was clearly down when you really slowed it down and focused. But, since it was at the end of the game and essentially decided the game, and it was a bang-bang play, they just decided to stick with the call on the field, obviously using human emotion to do so. Ehhhhh, he's probably down, but it's close and they called it a fumble on the field, so I'll just back away slowly here into these bushes and we'll play on since this decides everything.

Which is obviously bull****. Just my $0.02, maybe some of you feel no matter what we're gonna get hosed cause we're Miami, but I really feel if that wasn't such a crucial play, and it just happened in the regular course of the game or if the game wasn't in doubt, they take emotion out of it and rule it what it was, which his elbow hits then the ball is ripped out.

Out to get Miami, no.

Like a shady butcher with his thumb on the scale to jack up the price, absolutely.

Even the announcers called out the bogus "hole" on an o-lineman (Cooper?) that took seven off the board... they were confused by the personal foul on #51 when he was blocked into "going low"... and questioned the goal line fumble that was blown dead (and at least should've been a false start)—and then there was the Chaney non-fumble which the umpire was starting to rule down before looking over at the line judge (who couldn't even see the play) who called it a fumble.

Let's be honest, the ACC blue bloods have been anti-Miami since the Canes joined their little conference and are no fans of us.

Does that mean every crew is actively out to call against Miami and stick it to UM, no.... but that doesn't mean they don't let things go for opponents or egregiously call ticky-tack things against the Canes that would otherwise have been overlooked.

I said it in another thread.. it's mindless to think that humans aren't biased just because they wear a black and white striped shirt

It's also not hard to comprehend that they're more likely to be biased against Miami compared to GT. I've never met anyone in middle ground or neutral to Miami - they either love them or hate them. I've met tons of people, including myself, completely neutral in their opinion of GT

Miami has a stigma from the 80s and to this day the refs go out of their way to try to "control" it. Thinking we're always hitting the QB late, always taunting, always celebrating, etc.

Believe it or not, some of the most fairly called games are Miami and FSU because both teams are seen in a similar lens - love or hate.

Most other teams have a lot of neutrality. Teams like Miami, Texas, FSU, USC, etc have people on one side of the spectrum or the other and referees reflect that

I love you, but even for a squid, this take is something else...

Our Canes were cheated all game.

The ACC officiating crews have an active and demonstrable negative bias towards our Canes.

Watch the film. It all there for the world to see.

Again, people were "crazy" and "sore losers" right up until the moment Tim Donaghy was arrested for cheating.

This. People who don't think sports that are gambled on can't be, or are not often, fixed with officiating, are the same people that believe our "leaders" (rulers) are mostly benevolent, trying their best, and have our best interest as a nation at heart. These people are living in a false reality of their own making that helps them sleep at night.

Seems like everything always sways in favor of NC based teams. I’d been pushing for the conference HQ to move around so that no one region/school has an advantage. It’s been in Charlotte too long.

with my blurry drunken eyes on the Jumbotron I could see he was down....

The fact that we have had times with multiple early round defensive lineman and have went games **** near full seasons without a holding call should let you know of the 100% acc bias against the canes. We were brought in to bring credibility but they dont like us. I went to college in NC and have been going to the area my entire life since my father graduated from school in raleigh. Their perception of Miami is 100% not good were just some thugs down in florida.

That being said.....THIS GAME...the blatant officiating against us and if u were in the gameday thread i posted on it the whole time....was sooooo bad..that it actually lightened the blow of the loss for me....BECAUSE it was obvious the refs wanted to give Ga Tech a "shot" or flat out wanted them to win the game it wasnt even hidden. The classic "make up" call on the running into the snapper for us was another give away. The refs alone afforded more than a 21 pt swing in the game..took points off the board..ushered points ON the board for them (Francisco late hit on a qb that would never be called) and the obvious end of game non fumble that led to the td that won the game.

Complete malpractice.

Our admins bow down to the acc group though because they are the kid that transferred to the new school and wants to sit at the cool table, only to get allowed to sit there 1 time while the others are snicckering looking at each other laughing at the new kid.

The referees are absolutely calling the games harder on us than our opponents.

When the opposing team literally tackles our DL, it's not called. One of our OTs gets anywhere outside the shoulders at all, it's a flag.

Their player jaws and flexes after a play, it's a warning. Our player does anything in the direction of the other team, it's an instant 15.

Watch our WR release, they're mugged for 10 yards, our DB returns any contact, it's a flag.
