I don’t see a path to victory for us against LSU

Look, I WANT to believe and I want to see us beat LSU, but I just don’t see a path to victory, and here is why:

1. In a game that will come down to defense, LSU has a veteran, more physical and more dynamic defense. They move in and out of 3/4 and 4/3 defensive fronts and I think they stuff our run game and give our O-line fits. In a low scoring defensive game, the smart money is to go with the team with the better defense

2. Aranda is a defensive guru and best DC in the game, and he will be the most sought after HC coach in America after this season. He’s had an entire offseason to prepare for Miami. He has plenty of film on Miami

3. In a game where the run game will be stuffed, they’re going to force Rosier to try to beat them with his arm, and I just don’t see that happening. I don’t trust that man throwing into tight windows against cover corners of that caliber. I just don’t see it. I think Rosier gonna “Rosier” tomorrow.

4. Manny! I don’t think Manny will stay disciplined. I think he’s going to dial up unnecessary blitz’s when we don’t need it, and allow LSU to get chunk yards an inoportune times that could lead to FGs or a late game TD. One of those FGs will kill us

5. Freshman kicker. We’re going into a defensive battle, low scoring game, where points will be at a premium, with a freshman kicker. The nerves will get to him and he’s going to miss 1-2 BIG ones.

Prediction:

LSU 13
Miami 10

Can't see a path huh?

I think... your assumptions abt Manny having a flawed gameplan, while crowning LSU is a snapshot of your worse case scenario as a fan. Same type of fan that will cheer the loudest when we win, and would want a Manny's sweaty undershirt. Stick your foot in the ground and tell us why we win doubting tom.

This shows you know nothing about this team. Our D could arguably be one of the best defense's in the country if we get strong DT play and Dean learns to keep turning his head. We are as stacked as anyone at the other positions. Could have multiple All Americans on this D. I really don't see their QB lasting the entire game. He's going to get smacked and smacked often. The fact that he doesn't have much game experience and they have no proven running game makes this matchup a nightmare for them IMO. Now our offense against their D favors them but not near as much as the other scenario. Our offense has proven it can move the ball against very good Defenses. We have matchup nightmares all over the board on offense. The OL is Key here to making this a tight game or a blowout. The play calling on offense has to be aggressive IMO.

You say... "I just don’t see a path to victory", yet, you have us losing by a FG. On a missed FG (or two) no less.

That sounds like a toss-up game to me. Not a "no path" game.

How about this scenario:
Baxa only misses 1, and their kicker misses the "big one". No better time for the law of averages to kick in.
That's how easy it is for a no path game to turn to a Cane W.
