Lol, Im just saying man, Clemson is a perennial powerhouse right now with National champion pedigree. They know how to win big games, I still remember Kelly Bryant starting like 15-15 against Manny's Defense. Trevor is on a whole other level. Venebals is one of the best in all of college football. Maybe at end of season if we met and had huge momentum rolling in with everything clicking. But just in beginning or middle of season, that **** could make Manny look like Al Golden with this young program we are trying to build a new winning tradition. Dabo dont give AF, he will drop 50 if he can then talk ****.

Im more looking for recruiting class to stay intact and have a good season to keep it rolling. We have had huge offseason before only for season to start and collapse. Hope we get duke and GT on schedule multiple times.

totally hear what you are saying but this thread is for a little bravado. We’ve gone from the low of the lows in March and April and we’re now hearing talks of plans to actually have a season. To me, it’s exciting to think about what will happen this fall. I want ND BAD so we can smack those smug ***ers in the face again. If it means we have Clemson also, bring it on.

We may lose to Clemson if we played them, but anyone pointing to a game against FIU as proof is dumb. ****, we blew out North Carolina two years ago, and lost to them last year. What changed? A new coach and new QB. I, personally HOPE Clemson is on the schedule. We run the same offense, so I would like to see how they handle a running QB.
 
**** it, bring it on. I understand the people who are affraid to lose the class. But we need to see what this teams made of. We need to see where were at as a program under Diaz. We need to see if he learned from last year, and he has the cajones on game day.

With a totally new staff on BOTH sides of the ball, UNC tooK Clemson to task with a FROSH QB. New staff. Took over an atrocious team from the year before. FROSH QB. Almost beat Clemson.

Let’s play. We’ll get to see how good our OC is versus their DC. We’ll get to see King operate against the league’s best.

I became a Cane fan b/c we wanted the smoke any place, at any time. We need that mentality back. HIT STICK AND BUST ****, MAN! F all this, “I don’t wanna play this team or that team” bull chit!

I’m tired of this NBA2K cheat code, LeBron James need to link up with a superstar, media agenda movement bull chit that’s fcked up our society, and this fan base’s mentality. If we lose to Clemson; so f’ing what. It gives our boys some experience and an actual GOOD Loss! Lord knows I’m tired of losing to G5 schools and lowly P5 schools. Let’s cut our teeth on real competition, and not fluff chit up. We produced GREAT NFL players b/c they were battled tested.

Playing weak schedules does Football programs no favors. If you’re going to preach competition then you want that smoke. Kids want to play the best and beat them. This is how Miami became Miami. I’m not saying you’re going to go undefeated right away but the team needs to learn how to win against a stronger level of competition. Win the games you’re suppose to win and upset one team you’re not suppose to beat then look out!

I said it in jest and as a team of course confidence is necessary to perform. As a fan, until they show me otherwise, my confidence of success is strictly based on historical. We have not won a game worth a **** since 2017. My confidence will not impact the outcome either way. Happy to play anyone and hope we do, just skeptical nothing more.
 
If we play Clemson and the game remains competitive and we end up losing by a TD or less I think recruits would be impressed.
