If BC comes open.Tha'ts a very good thing for us via TedHendricksOffspring. He has stated before he wants out. BC is a job he and is agent would try very hard to get him too. There is hope if BC comes open.
He and his agent may want BC, but BC won't want him.
First of all, his record at UM will scare BC.
Next, if BC looks hard at Golden at Temple, they will see that Addazzio took over Temple and did better work than Golden.
Now tell me why BC would want a coach worse than Addazio?
Enough with the mental masturrbations!
Why did Missouri want Haith? Why did Nebraska want Riley? They can also look at Temple and say Golden laid the foundation for Addazio. Also Addazio was 13-11 at Temple and BC hired him coming off a 4-7 season. So we gonna pretend like BC has its choice of the very best?
The Mizzou folks looked at the Miami basketball as a demonstrably inferior product to their program, with
very little university, fan, booster, etc support and with considerably less history to Mizzou, and they figured
Haith did all they could with that program and would do better in Columbia.
And I'm sure Haith, who is very smooth, sold them on those goods.
Bad mistake on their part, but it happens.
Similarly, Nebraska folks looked at Riley and where he was coaching, considered that he was at a
program that was second fiddle in support, location, etc to Oregon and, worse, it was a state with
very little local talent to recruit from.
In spite of all this, he not only raised the program from one of the worst of college football to one
that went to bowl games regularly and competed against the big boys.
He also has had NFL and CFL HC experience, has coached and coordinated on both sides of the ball, etc.
You cannot compare Golden's resume to his.
Not even close.
