I’ve Never Seen Anything Like Toney

How could he have the same impact without the same production?

I loved Moss and his return skills were second only to Hester (Buchanan was also really good), but Mali’s production is off the charts.
Santana was a better deep threat, so he constantly stressed the defense, also a player can have the same impact without the same production.

What do you think he runs in the 40 come nfl combine time?

Since Mali will be totally prepared for the moment because that's how he rolls, I'm gonna say ... 4.48.

There's this great quote from Dutch soccer legend Johan Cruyff that describes Mali to a tee:

"What is speed? The sports press often confuses speed with insight. See, if I start running slightly earlier than someone else, I seem faster."

"There is only one moment in which you can arrive in time. If you're not there, you're either too early or too late."

If Mali had been born in Brazil or England, he'd be on his way to becoming a legend in soccer. His instincts on are way beyond even what most top tier athletes possess

"Hmmm. Seems kinda small and not very enthusiastic"

Even our greats are saying it. This kid could be one of them ones. Best ever at his position type of player.

Andre Johnson TD to cacth Ratio is ******* insane.. Guy went his whole career being nerfed in cfb and pros and still a HOF.. He play in air raid with 16 touches in a game.. LMAOOO

Best all-around football player in the country, period. #1 in receptions, #3 in yards, #3 in touchdowns. As a blocking wide receiver he had no peer. Keonte Scott is still running Jeremiah.

I love Santana Moss. And during the Pitt game I kept asking myself if Toney is better than Santana. But the end of the game I had to say yes.
Santana was slightly quicker but Mali is a more skilled route runner. Based comparison is a combination of Reggie Wayne and Santana Moss.

4.4 is my thought IDK people say he lacks top end speed. He never gets caught from behind and out runs guys all the time.
Because he doesn't pull away from guys. Even in some of his long TDs / catches, there's a defender nearby trying to shoestring tackle. Off the top of my head: Louisville screen last year, SMU punt return, Texas A&M punt return, Ole Miss screen, Pitt this past week on his long screen TD. Guys with great top end speed pull away from those defenders.

P.S. not trying to knock on him.....he is elite as they come. but you put Moss, Andre Johnson, Dorsett, Travis Benjamin...etc and those plays above either result in walk in TDs or there's no risk of defenders trying to shoestring tackle you.

Mali is my favorite Cane. Has all the natural talent in the world but works like he knows nothing is given.

As an aside, I would've loved to see Andre & Santana in today's offenses with elite qbs.

Andre Johnson would have been lethal under Cam or Mensah. He would have been so scary SEC coaches would have sent Nick Saban to DC to play golf with POTUS and Turbeville to "return sanity to the game".
