Aboht what Manny Diaz did today. The balls it takes to do those moves without care. So decisive and confident it’s refreshing. He didn’t even give it a couple of days to “evaluate the current staff” or anything like that. He knew he wanted to blow that **** up. He fired everyone he needed to fire and no one he didn’t need to. He even fired an SC coach who, although respected, was putting out weak receivers and fat linebackers. I thought this was a solid, safe, hire but with this is a home run first day. Hay que tener los huevos buen puestos.

He made the statement that if the standard of The U is not held up, you won’t be around very long.

I am impressed that he has been decisive and he seems confident in the moves he’s making. I’ve definitely come around on the hire, especially after watching Mario continue to underachieve with an NFL QB.

Curious as to what happens with Rumph.

But yes, so far so good.

I’m excited to see who he brings in.

lets be honest this is why richt retired. they wanted him to clean house and he wouldn't fire jon or brown who he says all the time is like a son to him. so he retired diaz did what had to be done what james knew had to be done what he wanted richt to do and was willing to force richt to do diaz had a mandate clean house on offense. and he did that

me too rumph great coach his cbs have been better then they should of been given who had at position. lets not forget when rumph got here people wanted to run mike Jackson out of town now he is best cb on team and 2nd rounder at worst malik young was becoming great prior to injury banda is becoming great he made colber and others look good at Miami and even had dean looking servicable which is quite the feat but his recruiting is sub par and we all k now it

Honestly I don’t like they mesh well, want Fran Brown, or the DC coming in is also a CB/DB coach.
I don't understand rumph hate as his coaching is top notch. I think some are right might be better for nfl where he can just coach. doesn't have to recruit. but he is a good coach. as for dc job I dont expect it to change from banda/patke co dc and I could see bringing in anoterh db coach instead o rumph

Na it will. Fran brown was about to be his CO-DC at temple...he probably won’t change from that.

alot of players didnt like gus. this tells me manny knew every thing going on with the players including on offense. richt wasnt in control.

God bless manny. Making us believe again. Meanwhile temple laughing their dcks off! They think they screwed us over again

Most coaches fire the whole staff. I remember Richt was a "savage" and a "TRUE CANE" after getting rid of Golden's staff. Golden was a "SAVAGE" and "Got it" after getting rid of Randy's staff. Every coach is a "savage" until they suck.
They didn't work with everyone on the previous staff like Manny did. Just pointing that out as a difference cause I'm sure what you said is probably what happened on the board at that time.

Have a feeling one of his hiring conditions was doing what he did ,canning the offensive side of the ball.

Gotta believe during his interview the fact that his defense had carried the team forever and if the offense was improved how much better the team would be came up in conversation.

Let's keep it in perspective. Any quality Hire would have done the same thing without even thinking about it. Good day for Manny.
While I agree, what makes it even more impressive is that he has been in the trenches with these guys and on the trail with them for the last 3 years and informed them their services were no longer needed without pause. This us the kind of ruthless mentality you must have to be a successful coach. Only time will tell but so far so ******* good

It's clear whatever went on with that side of the ball was bad enough that there weren't any redeeming qualities worth saving for anyone.
