I’m ok With Jarren Starting...

that Bud Foster video is a huge indictment of Jarren:

not a run threat
not a strong arm

guy better be jim harbaugh or chad pennington with those limitations

With our OL or lack thereof, probably not. That said, I'm not sitting a kid that put up 400+ Yds and several TDs in less than a full game.
I would happily make the case for Perry. I've been very critical of him in the past, but he's matured and proven himself. I am very comfortable with him in as quarterback at this point. The problem is that if Jarren sits now, it could ruin him. He has to see game time. If not, his career is effectively over. His confidence will be completely shot.

That said, I'd make **** sure Perry sees the bulk if the snaps. He makes plays happen when the defense has accounted for plan A.

If every position is truly "open competition" week in and week out, Manny/Enos need to play the one that gives us the best chance to win. Our OL though. . . .

Yes, the Miami way is to make quick, thoughtless changes at QB based on minimal data (less than one game). Then, when the backup QB who plays lights out off the bench gets the next start and summarily s*&ts the bed, quickly goes back to the original starting QB. Now, you have 2 QBs who are constantly worrying they will be removed and replaced for any mistake and therefore play like duck poo for the rest of the season (see last year as an example).

Jarren should get the start against UVA. He played one quarter of terrible football. If it continues throughout the UVA game, then give Perry his shot, but don't ruin what Jarren may develop into by giving up on him too quickly.

I feel you, but like, 3 ints in 6 passes is enough to make me throw my controller through my TV if I'm playing NCAA or Madden, that just shouldn't happen in real life.

Just put the weightlifting team out there. They're big enough and most likely won't run into each other.

I think that with the condition of his shoulder and a short week be will be a late week scratch and this is just fake news on Manny's part.

It’s not definitive that he’s starting, Diaz said he wants to see how he responds this week but will go in practice as the starter

Sometimes watching on the sideline can be beneficial, maybe he sees where Perry was successful throwing the ball downfield. On the last INT the ball floated more than any pass I've seen him throw, maybe he's hurt, but if that's a true indication of his arm strength he will continue the short passes and we will watch Thomas become invisible again.

Frankly, I was a huge fan of starting Williams and letting him grow for the future, but Perry showed me something Saturday, yes he made some mistakes but the offense came to life and looked different. It's not like Perry is a 5th year senior you would be wasting time on, it's time for Enos to coach this kid up and see what he can do.

Hope your right...
Because its really starting to look
like deja vu Miami
Malik Rozier/CMR
Jarren Williams /CMD

Jarren hasn't looked decisive and VT game was a nightmare. Worry going forward that his head is in about the same place as Baxa.
