Stop with this “They know Manny’s D” stuff. Just because they know his Defense doesn’t mean they’re any good at calling plays and game planning. There is no correlation with knowing how somebody’s Defense works and being able to game plan the same or call plays just as well.
 
We don’t need an experienced pilot the stuardesees know their way around the airplane...fvck it let them fly it!!

Fair point overall but I wonder if that same rationale would be applied by a lot of CIS if say we brought in some Mike Leach assistant or inexperienced disciple on the offensive side of the ball?
 
I’m not worried either; these players are going into year 4 of the same system, they should be able to coach themselves with a little oversight. This defense plays to our strengths and it’s not really as complicated as fans try to make it out to be.

That wasn’t your point. You’re not worried because they know how The D works. It doesn’t mean they know how to coach it...they only know how to coach their specific position and both have never called plays. That’s a huge issue right now and I hope they prove me wrong.

But I’m willing to bet that inexperienced disciple or assistant wouldn’t have been a grad assistant the year before and would’ve had great results in their short time.
