I’m gonna say it, Homer is a better back...

Homer is much better at 100% than Walton at 50%. Hard to argue with what Walton was doing before he tweaked his ankle. I know he didn't do it against any decent defenses but we'll never know.

That being said.. Homer has lived up to the hype of what we thought he would be out of high school. He's a notch below elite as a college RB. Same overall class as I would put Walton.

I'll stick by my comparison from earlier this season.. Wayne Gallman.

He was the best player on offense today. 170 yards on 20 carries, 2 TD's (1 rushing, 1 receiving). If that's not elite, that's about as close as you can get.

Lol classic idiot overreaction. We ran a ton of quick throws today so we never got to see him deal with pass protection. His running skills were never in doubt.

Walton went off v BCC and Toledo. He should not have been playing after getting injured imo. Talking **** about him is not kool.

Please stop...I like Homer (his hands surprised me) and he is going to be a player. But Walton is that dude. Would have done the same thing with those same looks.

This.

It happens every time someone new plays.

Somebody claimed that Dallas Crawford was better than Duke Johnson.

Somebody (a lot of somebodies actually) claimed that Joe Yearby was better than Mark Walton.

And now this.

I happen to think that this claim isn't as far-fetched as the others though.

lol no he's not. butttt, he is entering the "debatable "territory.
marching gray out as his backup doesn't make a lot of sense to me. he's like a poor mans Homer. need someone quicker to change the pace on the defense. Deejay where u at?

I think he's better for running out of the shotgun/RPO. One cut. Walton a little more patient like a Leveon Bell and overall better football player. If we are only going to run out of the gun i think homers style is better for that.

He was the # 6 RB coming out of his high school class. I'd say that performance lives up to that billing.

yep. No one has doubted homer's running ability or his superior speed. The coaches don't trust him in pass protection the way they did Walton. There is a reason we ran a ton of bubble screens and quick passes.

I like Homers style..one cut and up the field.Walton had gotten silly with jump cuts and dancing instead of running north and south.

But I wish we had both of them and next year whether Walton comes back or not we are going to have one **** of a backfield.

idk if its just me but i think that georgia tech didnt really focus as much on stopping the run as much as they wouldve if walton wouldve played, i think walton looks bad against better opponents because they really scheme to stop him, maybe thats just me though, but i do love homer thought he played great when he came in for walton all season and he obviously played great today.

Walton is good. Homer is also good. Duke Johnson was on a different level besides good. Duke was real life elite and a finisher.

Some of yall act like Walton Barry Sanders out here. Walton is good college back. I don't see the kid as elite. Just a great pure football player.

I’m not saying Walton is Barry Sanders but he’s shown a lot of heart and an ability to find the end zone. Homer is really good he gotta hold that resume.

Pump the breaks.

I would’ve been the first one to say this before this game, but I don’t know now. His vision is great, and he makes hard, athletic cuts that make defenders miss.

Walton still better catching balls out of the backfield, but Homer can really hit the hole and go.

Choc on the other hand...

I love Walton and Homer has even more potential. Homer isn’t as developed fundamentally overall but shows the ability to reach that level and more. I’m just glad we have them both. It’s a good problem to have when debating if the backup is better than the starter. Well, I’m this case anyways. All these guys crapping on Walton are crazy. I’d bet my left but he’s over there hyping Homer up and pointing things out to help him while hurt.

Homer at 100% is easily much better than Walton at 100%.

Walton will be the backup RB at best next year.

Homer is clearly a far more explosive athlete and has some nice moves as well.

This is so not true.

It's funny how quickly people bail on players when they get hurt.

Walton was going for 200 yards on 10 carries a few weeks ago.

Now he's clearly not as good as Homer.
