LSU of course is far better than FSU was and they’ll win more with Leavitt than FSU with Castellanos, but Clemson looks to be far worse than Bama was as comparative opponents. Among other flaws Clemson’s rush lanes were as poorly maintained as I’ve seen in a while.

Leavitt is going see teams who will be able to control his running and make him win with a passing game no. Leavitt is not a good passer. He was sub 50% deep into the second quarter. He’s been a mediocre passer his whole career in a much worse league

We’ll see if he’s legit or if last night was an outlier as Castellanos was against Bama

Leavitt is what he's been his whole career. A very good runner but inaccurate throwing. He does hit enough passes to be difficult to stop with that running ability tho. He's definitely not a QB you want in a 3rd and 15 in a close game. Stop LSU on 1st and 2nd down and they are in trouble.

Balling? He just running around against a defense that didnt look prepared.. I like QBs who can pass at a high clip, he is not really in rhythm, probably 125 yards passing with an INT at 50% clip..

I mean, I understand your preference of a passing only QB, but you cant just ignore the fact he has 113 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. That dual threat ability makes it very hard on a defense to defend.

He has 3 tds and nearly 300 total yards with 8 minutes left in the third against Clemson. They have 38 points.

If thats not balling, then im sensing a bias against the player. He is very polarizing and a lot of ppl hate his attitude, so i know that shades ppl opinion.

Yeah not sure what game everyone else is watching but he is really good. His ability to run really puts a defense in a bad position. One con on Leavitt is he’s not great at going through his progressions. But he has a great arm and can run so he’ll be a problem.

The impressive player is the RB - the kid from Wisconsin. He runs really hard.

Leavitt is alot of fun to watch but man that style of constant juke after juke I just don’t know how that holds up.

It really depends on what type of offense you want to run. Is your first priority a quarterback who can run it 15 times a game even if he’s below average throwing the ball? Then Leavitt. Is your man. If you prefer a guy who can make all the throws with pinpoint accuracy but still has enough athleticism to buy time, Mensah is your guy.

I knew Mensah was good, but I didn't know his touch was perfect. He throws the most catchable ball I think I have ever seen.

He also can throw bullets.

It’s definitely up there with the best ones I’ve ever seen. Burrow was the best, and Mensah is the only guy I’ve seen that plays the position at that level. Mensah looks like a pro already.

Cam Ward is on a different arm talent level than the guys I mentioned. He doesn’t have to cerebrally beat you because he can just rocket the ball in a tiny window. Mensah doesn’t have that cannon so he throws it out ahead of his receiver and lets them run under it. They’re both great, they’re both special talents. It’s just in my opinion, Mensah impresses me more because he’s not a world class athlete but still finds a way to put the ball where he wants it. I don’t like comparing the 2 because they’re both Canes legends, clearly. Cam put us back on the map, and Mensah is gonna win us a national championship. Both guys deserve a ton of credit for what Miami has returned to being.

Yes and no, if you ask me… if I think about total skill sets, I think Mensah is right there with Cam…. Certainly in the conversation
