Hypothetical paradigm shift based on current events. (just letting my mind ramble)

Big 10, Pac 12 crumble. (however that may play out.)

Some of those teams play independent (like 1970 when there were 30 ind teams).

Some join ACC/SEC/Big 12 & they become "super conferences" that have all the clout in CFB.

Smaller conferences are formed with fewer members (like the old Big 6, Big 8, SWC, Pac 8, Big East)

Some possibly drop to G5 status.

As I said, just rambling here.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an ad hoc conference of OAC/BIG teams figure a schedule against each other if the ACC/SEC stays the course.

I think Big12 stays. Always thought some elements of the Big12 and the MWC should shack up like Colorado, Wyoming, New Mex, Air Force. The rest of the MWC at and east of the Rockies go to the PAC12.

NEB is ****ed at the 10, wouldn't mind them back in the 12 BIG12 either.

When the Big 12 was formed, it was a great power conference. They're a joke now.
