Hypothetical: ND fired Brian Van Gorder after 2015

Van Gorder was the awful Norte Dame defensive coordinator from 2014-September 2016. My brother is an ND alum and says that everybody thought BVG was awful. Now Van Gorder is the defensive coordinator at Louisville, and is doing an even more awful job there.

If Brian Kelly had fired Van Gorder after 2015, which is what almost every Notre Dame fan wanted, VanGorder probably would have been hired by Richt as Miami DC instead of Manny Diaz. VanGorder was Richt’s first DC at UGA.

I can’t imagine what a disaster Richt’s tenure would be if VanGorder were DC. We probably would have struggled to bowl eligibility in 2016 and 2017. This year, the only opponent I’m certain we would have beaten is Savannah State.

Essentially what’s saved Richt’s career at Miami seems to have been Brian Kelly’s idiotic move of not firing VanGorder after 2015. The athletic director at ND forced Kelly to fire VanGorder after 4 games in 2016.

What are people’s predictions about Richt’s records with BVG as DC?

My predictions are

2016: 7-6
2017: 6-6
2018: 1-8 (Only win is over Savvanah State)

That would’ve been a nightmare. Seeing richt high out his mind with that dazed look putting up no points. Then seeing that pube face with a stupid *** look on his face as we get torched drive after drive.

Avoiding a 3 and out is considered an achievement on offense.

If BVG were our DC, holding an opponent to a field goal when they get the ball on their own side of the field would also be considered a rare achievement.

Maybe it would have been best if BVG were our DC, since then Richt would probably be fired after this season.

Miami wanted Aranda. LSU went over the top on what was, an incredibly high offer by Miami standards.
Miami then went after Diaz.

I don't recall anyone else really being in the mix. Maybe Kevin Sherrer? Might be talking out of my *** on that last one, though.

Richt didn’t go after BVG because he figured he wouldn’t be able to pluck him away from Notre Dame.

This is one dumb thread. OP coming out and stating BVG would have been hired by Richt.
What is this based on ?
Things around here are bad enough without someone just pulling hypotheticals out of their ***

If my aunt had balls...yadda yadda yadda.......

We're trash as it is. Because of our AD.
