Husan Longstreet 4* QB from CA Hits the Portal

Kiffin had no **** choice but to offer every **** QB in the portal. LSU had no scholarship QB or for the fact of the matter no walk-on QB either. You have no ideal who this staff has been after or talking to. This staff walks in the shadows and every year guys come crying up in this b^tch with soaked panties early on and the staff smashes these simps with players that you guys have no clue were even talking to.

Cam Ward was less than 50% chance of happening and Emory and Reese were our fall backs. That was only two years ago. Acting like the program is suddenly infallible is laughable given the last 23 years. I'm sure Mario and staff are Portal Jedi. But like the Jedi, they should be careful not to believe in their own religion too fervently.

Who are we talking to?

Kiffin brought in Longstreet as a backup plan for Leavitt. That’s a well known fact, and a smart plan.

It’s okay to acknowledge that another coach did something good. Stop acting emotional. And the fact that you’re stroking yourself to your ghey post is making me LOL.

Regulate yourself. Recruiting ain’t for the weak.
He played the situation that he was sitting in. He isn't some genius that played everyone. He had no QB on his roster going into the upcoming season. He casted his net across the portal and was begging everyone to come play for him. Even to the extreme that he almost f^cked up with Williams from Washington. This is a program that was gutted and have the money to just swing at the fences until they get what they can.

Recruiting isn't for the weak but here you are stroking a guy that out of desperation had to fly to Knoxville and suck Leavitt off. Then acting like this staff just sits around letting the world catch on fire because they ain't out in the public eye begging bag chasers to come play here.

We ain't in the same situation we were in when this staff arrived here.

I don't know what the previous 19 years has to do with the 4 years that Mario has been here. We are one week away from playing for a title and have built a team. Not just a bunch of guys that are in it for themselves but a team that is built on picking each other up and not being selfish. That selfish crap was what we dealt with prior to this staff. Whether we land a QB in the portal that everyone is happy with is yet to be seen but at some point we will have to roll the dice with a guy out of HS. IF for some weird reason we do roll into next season with one of the guys already on the roster. We got a surplus of talent and a RB that is primed to have the best season we have seen out of a back since Willis.

You’re flailing, putting words in my mouth, and, more than anything, making a bad argument.

Regardless of whether LSU had Judd Anderson, Luke Nickel, and Emory, or just Landen Clark, it was smart for Lane to line up a fallback in Longstreet. If they didn’t land Leavitt, he could have locked up Longstreet quickly.

We don’t have a fallback option that’s ready to commit. That’s not my opinion. That’s exactly what D$ and Pete said on the pod yesterday. We’re not far along with another QB. That’s why a lot of people on this board, and D$ and Pete, are frustrated with the process.

You can ignore that or try to obfuscate to make yourself feel better, but it doesn’t change the facts.

I say it all the time. Mario is held personally responsible for the almost 20 years before he was ever hired. It’s pure insanity

There is a debate internally of bringing on another young QB like Longstreet or just battle it out with Nickell/Coleman. Feels like coaches prefer the latter.

The options in play are likely on more veteran/multi-year starter types.

One thing that the last two years has proven is that Mario doesn’t settle at QB. We were in this same boat when we ended up pulling out Cam and Carson. Not saying we can do it three years in a row, but we were in the exact same place

Idris Elba Ugh GIF

If they don’t even bring in competition, that’s a giant risk.

They didn't want the guys who are gone. I heard them make an argument for Bailey again. That's their guy all along. Clearly the staff felt differently.

I also think maybe some things changed in our QB room over the past couple of weeks that affected how they looked at this.

Spend the money somewhere else at this point. Let the young guys fight it out, I'm not overly enthusiastic about what would be the fourth or fifth choice. Just MHO

Well we definitely have to bring SOMEONE in regardless.

I'd look at guys like

Nick Miniucci, Ty Pennington, etc AT MINIMUM. I wanted Braden Atkinson too. Should have went for him as soon as we heard he visited ND and was willing to sit a year. He had a great season. **** I'd still try to go get him from Oregon St they are a **** show.

Still think the Chambliss/Deuce Knight situation is fragile and Chambliss could probably be Gettable... We could make a bet that he'd win his waiver... Maybe Ole Miss has moved on already?

I wouldn't mind taking this kid. He should come at a discount for Sorsby/Leavitt/Simpson. Use the extra money to grab Seaton and Damon Wilson and just pray Longstreet pans out.
