Wanted by Riley and thrown away by Riley.

Just because he’s the best option available doesn’t mean he’s the dude we give the Keyes to.
Kiffin ghosted his ahss and flew to Knoxville. That’s not someone who’s wanted. That’s desperation and knowing that Longstreet isn’t in the same talent echelon.

I think we need to bring another QB to compete. Longstreet is more talented than any other QB that we have on the roster. Why not bring him in.

How is he more talented?
Based on what? A few snaps against crahp teams and garbage time?

5 star high school rating?

Couldn’t beat out the dude already there and is only being considered by programs as a last resort or a back up. LSU allegedly still pushing but he isn’t starting over Leavit.

I’m not saying he isn't gonna be good at some point.
But I’m sure he wants a pay raise or guaranteed start. You don’t do that with the team or tuebdides we have now. Emory at least has started games here and won.
I’m not saying we should ride with Emory either. But why get another back up who hasn’t proven anything?

Emory is garbage and we have recruited QBs horribly. Get a 5 star redshirt with upside that proven QB gurus want. Dont overcomplicate it.

I’m talking about physical traits. Longstreet is a better athlete and has a stronger arm. And he was behind Jayden Maiava one of the better QBs in the country. He is objectively more talented than Emory. That doesn’t necessarily mean he is a better QB than Emory.

How many QBs start as true freshman. The answer is not a lot.

Wouldn’t him going to LSU be the same situation he was at with USC? He won’t start for either team so why leave USC unless he wants playing time.

My guess is Lane is trying to convince him to sit for a year to learn the system and then he will presumably take over next year after Leavitt is gone.
