Hurricanes records...

I think the only thing that would hold him back would be needing 4 years to do it. As talented as he is now and knowing he's only going to get better, does he stay 4 years?
Let’s hope so.

He could always have sophomore slump depending on QB next year or if there was a OC change down the road. I love X, but obviously Toney is more-talented.

Of the following Hurricanes records, which one will we see broken first.

58 - home wins in row
Hester's returns for TD's
X- Career receiving yards
McGaee's 6 rushing TD's in a single game
Dan Morgan's career tackles
Blades single season with 10 Int's
I’d put my money on career receiving yards, due to longer seasons.

OP being lazy and didn't post each record he's talking about.. .I'm even lazier and won't look them up either..... and I assume OP is talking about being broken by fellow canes....not CFB...

First take is Toney, beating X, but then again, I don't see Toney staying all 4years like X had... Fitz might be able to hit 11 INTS....

INTs…

6 TDs stats because MC lack RB by committee.

Returns… smh.

Seeing as X took 5 seasons to surpass people whose stats were done in 3 and 4 years. Barring another global pandemic that’ll grant kids an extra year of eligibility annnnd anyone who’s good enough to put up really good numbers as a freshman more than likely will be out after 3 years. So I think the receiving record stay for a while.

I looked at tackling statistics, they are un reachable. To get into the top ten for a season, you need over 125. Bain currently leads the team with 24. Perryman and Quarterman are 9th and 10th on career list. These lists are completely line backers. I think the deemphasis of the running game has spread out the tackles and reduced the role of linebackers. Weird, the DLnow gets the sacks and the secondary gets the tackles.

It will be hard to break Morris single game passing yards. 566 2012 against Nc State. And with the portal do you really think anyone will break Dorsey 86 tds in a career?

Correction: Taylor and Blades 10 Ints in single season.

Blades did do it in 11 games and Taylor in 12, but that could definitely be passed with 13 to 16 games possible now.
