Probably wrong thread but anyone else find it odd how little we hear about Jonathan Denis??

Is he hurt? We obviously brought him from Oregon for a reason but he is never in any updates. I remember recruiting him and it was a big miss for us..

Any info would be appreciated.

i didnt see him on the last version of the UM roster

Also I think it’s interesting that our coaches seems to think a lot more highly of the oline unit than the fans do
Well what else is he going to say? And you can't blame the fans who know O-line play, because these are some of the same guys we've heard were about to break out for three years now. Their coaching is better, their buy-in sounds good, but we're 2-3 years off - if everything goes well - from a unit that can return us to the promise land. Mirabal said they wouldn't be a weakness this year - I'll take that as progress.

Read between the lines: Mirabal is letting us know this isn't going to be a quick fix:

"The guys that you inherit you know, their yours, their your kids; they're not the other coaching staff, no, they're ours, they're ours. And you get them - It's not 'oh wait, I can't wait till I get my - our guys in here'. No, these are our guys, these are our guys. We got to get them to do what we feel is going to help us win and that is to be physical, be tough and be resilient.”

Thought it was like 6 but oh well, in 2020 he still showed a high presence and ability to rush the passer, point still remains the same

I think the crazier part is that he played in one more game in 2021 vs. 2020, & had **** near the exact same stats, sans. .5 more TFL & 1 less sack.

I think what we saw is, & I noticed u brought up 2020 & not 2021, that a lot of guys in yr 1 under Manny’s system look like they were going to be thee man; we saw how Greg, JP, Willis, all play 1 yr under his system, & the results. I feel, & it could be a coincidence, but guys who looked great yr 1 under his system, started falling flat there after.

Hopefully, w/ the new staff & coaching, JHH is more 2020 w/ promise vs. 2021.

Agree with all of this. I’m hoping we get the 2020 version of him and frierson back because in that year they were some of the few players that made a difference of that defense imo

I just wanna say FP10 was probably one of the top 10 threads I ever been privy to. Football, crab boils, and strip clubs, you can’t beat that. Classic

Same. I thought this kid would challenge at guard.
