Hurricane Camp Report Episode #4: Mirabal & Jalen Rivers

I love Jalen rivers man, this kid just has it. I think He’s our most gifted lineman overall on the team. Not a slight to Zion who I also think is very gifted but just saying rivers has an incredibly high ceiling.

Also I think it’s interesting that our coaches seems to think a lot more highly of the oline unit than the fans do
 
It’s insane we landed this kid with the dog vomit we’ve been trotting out at OL coach recently

Not like A&M and Clemson line them boys got 1st rounders only 1 I see on our line like that is Leonard and the young boys unless agude takes a Johnson jump this year from fsu

The good news is with the line is they played better down the stretch of the season and started getting some chemistry

All coming back and adding probably the most talented guy on the team to the mix with elite coaching

Not expecting miracles but not expecting the poor play that plagued us particularly on the right side last year

I hope so man but scaife scares the **** out of me at right tackle and having nelson out is a concern because I think he needs reps in this offense to help put the rest of the line in there spots

Agreed… Cristobal and Mirabal weren’t playing when they said OL wouldn’t be our weakness. And the play calling to a degree up to this point is to make sure the team understands that they’re going to be tough… by choice or force. We haven’t been a physically tough team in a long time. We’ve gotten pushed around in the trenches by a lot of teams who had no business doing so ain’t this coaching staff ain’t wit that sh*t.

Though it’s going to rub some folks the wrong way I fully believe this staff may reign the passing game and lighting up the scoreboard that way so that this team embraces being physical… all the time with no exception.

That’s the stubbornness of Mario that can be a concern.

Can’t get through the CFP without bullying people in the trenches.

RT was a travesty last year

Scaife was fine down the stretch

But…it’s not like your concerns aren’t valid. We need them to step up

At guard he’s solid not really that strong though but pass blocking he’s solid at guard. I’d put rivers at right tackle tbh and Nelson at tackle and Campbell at guard if he’s not there at tackle yet which is even worse

Yeah we’ve had a tough time playing kids that just aren’t in the right spots for a long time now

Kinda brutal

Might not happen overnight but I like Mario and Mirabal for this, finding who are the best fits for each spot

You’re right RT no matter who was out there seemed to be a struggle

I've said it before here and I'll keep echoing it: please God put Campbell at guard, he doesn't have the foot quickness to be placed on an island. He's a big, strong mailer. Let him play to his strengths on the interior.

We needed mims bad I hate that fsu ****ed that up and ran him back to Georgia he was the perfect piece for this line to turn into a very good line

Lol you just said you see one then a couple possible first rounders… so potentially 3 out of a line made up of 4. While I don’t agree that we will have 3 and don’t think it’s a possibility your statement doesn’t make sense

Ok it’s a clear statement Clemson and A&M have higher ceiling talent then we posses. The only defensive players with the profile to be elite for us truly elite are Leonard Taylor and the two freshman ends and I’m not sure what they’ll be because things happen but thanks for being a smart ***

I’ll take Leonard Taylor and nyjalik Kelly over any lineman they’ve landed the last 2 classes. They recruited those areas well for sure but some of these guys we got don’t hold a back seat to anyone tbh. **** the best interior pass rusher on any team you named Clemson a&m or Miami was Harrison hunte imo but that’s neither here nor there. Got to prove it on the field not just rankings

Breece is that guy and so is the jitt from Orlando who we missed on and A&M has a guy named ayumele that’s a dog and a **** ton of others I think Leonard’s special and Kelly can be but we have to prove it before I say that there better for certain
