Hugh Freeze to Tennessee

We won’t pick a new OC until Richt really chits the bed against the Turds to open next season. That loss will be so ugly and things will become so toxic that Richt will be gone, either thru retirement or (finally) firing. Manny takes over then, and he’ll pick the next OC. Always count on Miami to let things get totally out of control before these numbnuts act. Another wasted season as Manny tries to get things under control and deals with all the jags that will be on the team from a horrible 2019 recruiting season.

The good news in that case is that Richt is gone and Manny is HC!!!

SEC recycles their coaches until they turn into compost and get used to fertilize sabans lawn.

Pruitt and Freeze on same team wow, them Vol recruiting ladies going to think Kiffen was a Sunday School teacher. Sanctions or *** scandal 2 years away at most.

This is what I call a coach trying to win at all costs. Sadly it looks like Pruitt really knows what he's doing in Knoxville. I see them as the team that is most likely to compete with UGA in the SEC East.

However I'll add this - divisions in CFB are so stupid. There should be no divisions nor Conference Championship game.

Please Tenn. is a horrible program! Very little success and never going to win anything!

Is Paul Johnson still available??
He seems like a good fit with Richt since the plays he runs are actually way older than 30 years

You're going to hire a coordinator and have him install an entirely new offense between now and the bowl game?
Why not? He'd be starting from scratch. It's not like the four plays that we have is an offensive system. Heck, just wrap those four plays into the new offense.

I understand your point but I’ve seen some great schemes and playcalling mask some pretty bad QBs.

Had Miami gone to Wildcat in the second quarter of Pitt ‘17 instead of HOPING for Rosier to luck into something … Miami wins that game - as bad as Mia played as a team.

Good OCs make the offense look good, not just the QBs.

Watching Herman now and he's less creative than Richt. If he doesn't have the personnel (Ehlinger) he won't do anything special, because all I see is zone read, draws and back shoulders. Good pitch and catch, but no TE or real creativity.

At Miami Richt is piece-mealing the OC position between several coaches and that adds to the problem, but that belies the fact there are real talent issues that supersede the coaching by committee at OC. Here's why I say that; Malik casually scored 31 TDs last season and if you put any QB playing in a game today on the Miami roster, since spring camp, I guarantee we'd be undefeated.

So not only has Richt overachieved with Malik, it's clear these coaches are doing more because they have more talent and finances, not more coaching skill, creativity, or a better scheme.

That's Monday-morning QB at its worst. We were 10-0 and Malik had like 20 something TDs on the way to a record season. How can you go back and nit-pick something like that?
