Hugh: of course, I heard you called the plays last year and that’s why Walter left, will I get full play calling ability?

Willie is like the Canes coaches of Coaching Searches, his list is all A+ stars and he thinks he’s in the ballgame but instead he hires back up-up plans
 
Even if Freeze goes there you think he gonna be there forever? 1-2 years Max and that guy will be a head coach again. Just like if we somehow hired Kingsbury....wed have to make him head coach to keep him
 
Odd. fit. You hire a head coach who's bread and butter is his offense. Like there's literally nothing else on the guys' resume besides "has a fast paced, spread offense playbook". Then that guy, who was hired solely for his offense, gives up calling plays midway through the season. OK, there's a lot on a head coach's plate, nothing wrong with handing over playcalling duties for YOUR offense. Now, they're looking to hire an OC to come in and install his own offense and call his own plays. What was the point of hiring Willie in the first place? It would be like Nebraska saying "Scott Frost, your offense didn't live up to hype in your first year, we're bringing in Lane Kiffin to install his own offense now."
