Huge week for College Football Playoff picture

if the last couple of years has taught us anything it is that *OSU with one loss will get into the playoffs, conference champ or not. so i gotta pull for the pedes this weekend, **** *osu.

I can't imagine a scenario where I root for Taint. If Penn State loses, they probably still stay in front of us, unless it's an absolute a$$ kicking. However, if Penn State wins, they will knock Taint out of playoff consideration and allow us to jump them, too. Win-win for me.

I would love for PSU to win, but I think OSU has this. Everything says JAX should be a rout. Nope.

NC State(14) v Notre Dame(9) (Nc St is pretty legit though)

Florida v Georgia(3)

TCU(4) v Iowa State(25)

UCLA v Washington(12)

Agree with this. Don't know why anybody would want Ohio State to win. Two 1-loss Big 10 teams ***** us allowing for a team to backdoor into the playoff without winning their conference like Ohio State did last year. A 2 loss Ohio State is de facto eliminated from the playoffs. We can deal with Penn State v. Wisconsin with the winner going to the playoff as they will put a big 10 team in the playoff.

could be...*could* be great weekend for upsets

never want UFa* to win but if they beat UGA that would be okay by me.... eliminate the notion of UGA and Bama both being in the playoff

also gotta figure we want ohio state to beat penn state here


of course doesn't matter if we win out blah blah blah..

but if we do win out, then it would help the canes if TCU, Penn State, and UGA get knocked off, despite how unlikely 1 of those may be

If we win out, we need nobody's help. TV $$$$ will demand Miami and whatever 3 local ratings only teams the committee wants. Think about it: Canes v Bama (tie breaker since the two are one and one in NC games against each other.) Canes v OSU ( rematch of great game where cheating ref decided it) Canes V PSU (fatigues anyone) Those three games would all feature huge in THE U - Rebirth. Come on, what other match up does anyone want to see? Only ND could pull lose to us and they will be out of it after we crush their little heads. With Canes, the world watches. Anyone else, two local markets watch.
 
Has a team that lost in their conference championship game ever made the playoffs? I know teams that didn't make the game due to 1 loss the the conf champ in their division have made the playoffs. Be a real hard story to spin that a team that just lost a conf championship game, even if they were #1 going in, getting in to playoff and even harder if there is another undefeated conference champion to pick from.
