respond with your guys picks

all these are at 3:30 by the way, right after we beat the crap out of UNC

Penn state(2) v Ohio state(6)

NC State(14) v Notre Dame(9)

Florida v Georgia(3)

TCU(4) v Iowa State(25)

UCLA v Washington(12)

could be...*could* be great weekend for upsets

never want UFa* to win but if they beat UGA that would be okay by me.... eliminate the notion of UGA and Bama both being in the playoff

also gotta figure we want ohio state to beat penn state here

of course doesn't matter if we win out blah blah blah..

but if we do win out, then it would help the canes if TCU, Penn State, and UGA get knocked off, despite how unlikely 1 of those may be

I think NC state and UCLA both have high chances of winning, the rest will probably skate

ohio state

Here you go...

I have a feeling there are going to be some mad people on sunday despite a win for the canes. But we should reserve our anger as there will still be time for things to sort themselves out, specifically, after we get through the Notre Dame/VT games:

OSU beats Penn State - Both teams stay ahead of us if we get by UNC in any fashion other than an absolute asswhoopingcane

Notre Dame beats NC State - Jumps us because they get a ranked win.

Georgia beats the **** out of Florida - Stays ahead of us, but the gator tears thread is a gem.

TCU smashes Iowa State - stays in front of us, cuz ranked opponent win.

Washington rolls UCLA - doesnt matter for us.

This sounds right.

Never thought I could figure a scenario where I’d root for Taint, but here it is... F()ck Pedo St.

**** Penn State. I’ve been waiting 8 ******* weeks for their mouths to get shut.

I think the scenario for a trip to the playoff pretty much needs to includes the following. correct me if I am wrong:

1) Georgia loses a game somewhere, but most importantly gets destroyed by an undefeated bama in the SEC title game, locking up one spot.

2) Penn State wins out, and beats the **** out of Wisconsin, locking up another spot and dropping both ohio state and wisconsin behind us.
-Alternatively, who cares what happens between ohio state and penn state, but the winner loses to wisconsin.

3) Miami wins out, getting 3 ranked wins down the stretch against ND, VT and Clemp, dropping clemp behind us and moving us ahead of any remaining 1 loss teams (possibly ohio state/penn state/wisc/Georgia).

4) TCU loses to anybody, but really, if both us and TCU win out I think the ACC champ gets in on strength of schedule and coming off of a conference win (against a ranked opponent)

Need PSU to win so OSU is effectively eliminated from the playoffs with two losses. If PSU loses a close one I guarantee you both them and OSU will be ahead of us in the first CFP rankings.

My picks in bold. It's the time of year when good teams separate from the pack.

in a *perfect* world

ohio state beats penn state. this would eliminate penn state as they were seen for having a weak schedule to begin with..

then Michigan beats ohio state later in the regular season... this is unlikely though

I guess I see what you're saying having penn state and Wisconsin win out until the end and then the winner of that getting in and the loser out would be reasonable

having UGA lose to florida this weekend would be huge because other than Auburn, UGA doesn't have much left on their schedule.

TCU has plenty of tough games left, don't think iowa state beats them but I can definitely see Texas getting a win, they've played everyone close so far

Not really worried about the first one as I am about the one that comes out second week in Dec. If Ped State wins wont they have to play Wisc in conference championship? They lose that and they will be out. Only way we make it into the playoffs is by going undefeated and there is no way they keep an undefeated ACC champion out over a one lost anything, except for maybe UGA or Bama.

Yeah i don't understand why people thinking OSU beating PSU is good for us. If ohio state loses we will definitely jump them as tehy willl have two losses. Ohio State wins a close one they will obviously stay ahead of us and Penn State could very well stay ahead.

Penn state(2) v Ohio state(6) Penn St; after what they did to Mich I just don't see OSU beating them

NC State(14) v Notre Dame(9) NC State; just got a feeling

Florida v Georgia(3) UGA; Florida has no offense and it won't get anything going against their D

TCU(4) v Iowa State(25) TCU; they've looked good

UCLA v Washington(12) Washington

I expect an ugly game between PSU and O$U. Probably a 13-10 type of game. Could go either way. If I had to pick now I'd say the home team.
ND is flying high after their last game.... ... I expect a letdown of some sort. Maybe 24-17 Wolfpack since they know how to pretect the football and have a DL that can at least match up well with ND's OL.
Florida is horrible.
I can't see Iowa State winning against both OU and TCU in the same season. I think it will be close but Patterson's team will win.
Washington wins by 5 TD's

I think there is only 1 remotely possible scenario of an undefeated Miami getting left out.

Undefeated B10 champ - Wisc/PSU
Undefeated B12 champ - TCU
Undefeated SEC champ - UGA with a close win in SECCG over Bama.
Miami beats a 2-3 loss NC State in ACCCG......

Bama is the only team that the committee would contemplate putting in over an undefeated major conference champ this year. Even then....Committee will have to justify putting a 1-loss Bama team that may end up beating only 1 or 2 teams that will finish near the bottom of the rankings.

Right now Bama's 4 biggest wins will be:
(aTm 5-2) (still plays LSU, AUB, Miss St)
(LSU 6-2) (still plays Bama, aTm)
(Auburn 6-2) (still plays Bama, LSU, UGA)
(Miss St 5-2) (still plays Bama, aTm)

You are only talking about 1 maybe 2 of those teams at the bottom of Top 25 at end of the year. Bama's schedule will be very weak in comparison.

As far as 1-Loss Miami ACC Champ.....plenty of scenarios to be left out.
