... to once again be the hero and cool guy at the table.

I know he enjoyed all that shine he got when he was (forced) to fire Golden. All those "good jobs". All those thank you emails. All those free drinks and dinners. All the extra... ahem... attention from wifey.

If he fires Richt (won't happen) he'll instantly become the most popular guy in the Mad Max wasteland that is currently South Florida sports (that is until he hires the wrong coach...Again). The opportunity is there for the taking. Get the permission to make it happen.

@Andrew @DMoney

Let's buy this man some pizza if he does it . :sneaky:

Then he gets to make another lousy hire. Not sure I want that either. Fire them both.
Surely he understands the sooner he distances himself from the Richt hire the better it'll be for his own job security. I really, truly think this dude is still in awe of Richt.

He is totally in awe of Richt. He has no balls!

**** that. The players hold the cards. They need to get together and demand changes. The need to hold a team meeting with James and Richt there and threaten to leave if chit doesn’t change. One guy here and there isn’t going to cut it. If enough players barge into these dudes off or demand a meeting it’ll get done.

I said as much in vern's thread.

If a minimum of 10 of them came together and refused to play in the bowl game, a change would happen. Maybe not a firing, but Richt wouldn't be allowed to go forward in the direction he's going.
